FUN Sized

The little beast got her hair did today...
When I picked her up after work she ran out to me and had that thing on her neck... I was like where is her bow?! I always get her a little bow from there shop but they usually put it in her hair because lets face it, I can barely do my own hair let alone a 7lb crazy dogs hair. Well, her father forgot to tell them when he dropped her off so I bought a bow and I'm going to attempt to put it in her hair... we will see how that goes... I'm going to gamble and say it's gonna be bad.

Then I told CK to pick up some french fries from the store because we were out and I'm lazy and hormonal (no NOT pregs) and didn't feel like making homemade ones... He came back with this:
Reallllly Chad... oh and don't let the bananas fool you...I bought those the other day.
FYI: The Fun Size Snickers are SMALLER now! WTF?! like... half the size.. which I suppose is a good thing since they are only 80 calories each but still... there is nothing fun about that size.
---------------
Now onto other things... I was laying around the other night talking to Chad about all the weddings we have coming up and what gifts we are going to buy who when I started thinking about all the wonderful and sweet things we got when we got married. Then I started pointing out things around the room that we have because of our sweet friends and family and I thought... I wonder if they know how much we enjoy what they gave us... or kinda like a "where are they now" of wedding presents. So, I thought what better way then to blog about these presents every once in awhile with a little blurb about who gave them to us and why we love it so much. Now, I won't post anything mean or tell you about all the returns we did or that one candy dish that we got that was an OBVIOUS re-gift which I'm pretty sure was meant as an insult. (weird/passive aggressive much?) However, I am so excited to talk about all of the sweet gifts that we really do enjoy.

The first item is the one that started me thinking about doing this in the first place. This is a Target Lamp that we registered for and I absolutely love it. Every night I crawl into bed and start to read my Kindle- meanwhile CK picks out a movie and continues to beg me to stop reading because the light is to bright. Well, it's not to bright Chad it's perfect. I love that lamp and I think I love it so much because of who gave it to me... Dana Fennell or Dr. Fennell to those of you at USM. She was one of the most influential people in my life who helped me learn so much about everything. I now consider her a friend and every time I look at this lamp I think about all of the memories I have with her and it simply makes me smile.

The next gift was also from Target (obviously we have a problem) and possibly one of the most used gifts we received. I think this shower curtain is the prettiest one I have ever owned and it fits perfectly with my dark grey decor. Thank you Lindsey for getting this for us, I missed seeing you at the wedding but I definitely thought about you when I was thinking back on the early days of my relationship with Chad. You were there at the beginning and you knew more about our relationship than my best friend did at the time. I will always consider you one of my closest friends and all I think about in the shower is you. --- Wait, that doesn't sound right OR DOES IT?! (Okay, now I sound like Mel. I miss you Lyndz.)

Now, I know you two both got a card telling you Thank You a over a year ago but I just want to say it again... Thank You for caring about us so much that you went out and bought us a gift. As you can see that gift means a lot to us... and we know exactly who it came from.

A not so typical Monday.

I know today is a Monday but dang I've had a good day and for no particular reason either. I only got like 5 hours of sleep, work was busy, and then I ran 4 miles tonight but I'm still extremely happy.

Maybe it's because I am a genius.
A guy I work with collects the most random crap and then he brings it into work...well he left for a trip this week and I took his rubrics cube like mind game home to see if I could do it. I have never been able to solve the illusive rubrics cube but I solved this thing!!!

There are 6 colored balls which you have to get into their color pockets and they are in the very center of the spheres (3 total) and they only have little round holes that turn in different directions and you have to figure out how to get the hole to where you can get a ball out. Listen, it's really complicated just know that I did it all by myself and I now have nothing left to prove in life.

As I mentioned above about the coworker who likes random crap... do you want to know where he, my boss, and all of my companies Branch Managers and Outside Sales people are right now?!?

Yes, the Borgata in Atlantic City... where they just filmed The Real Housewives of New Jersey Reunion. I'm so green with envy I look like.....
Photobucket
 Dammit I love Jersey.

On a more personal note:

Today marks a YEAR we have been living in Washington. I have so many memories that I'd like to post about but honestly it would take all night. So, if you have never read about our cross country move/adventure you can check out these posts:

I can't wait for more PACNW adventures.
We signed another 15 month lease so it's official where here for awhile!
Now, I just need to go get a Washington license. Ugh, my Mississippi picture is amazing I don't want to give it up just yet!

I love everything about you.

I'd like to take a moment to dedicate this post to my husband.
The moment I met him almost 6 years ago I had no idea we would end up where we are. We both like to talk about those first encounters and relive the memories that brought us together. I tell everyone who listens how amazing of a person he is and well here is just another time I'm doing that.

When we got married everyone was telling us how wonderful that first year is. The "honeymoon" year... well in our case while it was wonderful it was also full of stress and honestly, that made our relationship not as care free and honeymoonish as it should have been. Four months after we said I do we moved across the country.
Chad focused solely on his music for the next 4 months meaning I was working paying all the bills and he was chasing his dreams which we fully agreed on but in time I was growing stressed. Then at the beginning of the year my mom moved in with us for 3 months to try and get on her feet to live in Seattle and while my mom is the best kind of roommate it just added tons of stress and worry to the basket I was already carrying. Chad meanwhile handled all of this with complete devotion and supported me with every decision but it was still hard on us to be really "honeymoonish happy." After things got back to normal and my mom ended up moving back to MS to take care of her mother we started finding our way back to our happy place together. Then Chad got a really great job and shortly got promoted, then recently I got promoted at my job and here we are almost a year later feeling back on top of the world. Which has really made me want to reflect on this past year with you guys.

I don't like to share a lot of the hard times on my blog and in general I try to stay away from negative emotions/feelings. However, I think it's really important to share with you guys that life is sometimes so hard it's easy to want to give up. I have experienced those moments of feeling so stressed out that I can't do anything but cry so hard I dry heave but I know now that I will make it through those moments. You will be okay and things will get better. I feel so blessed everyday of my life because I have gone through these difficult times already and we are now enjoying the rewards of our hard work and dedication. I never thought that I would have a partner like Chad. I never thought that someone would love my crazy/mean/annoying/anal self like he does. I definitely don't know any other guy that would be so understanding and helpful when it came to living with their mother in law for 3 months during his first "honeymoonish" year of marriage. I have the best husband in the world. I have the kindest man in the world and everyday even when I am mad at him all I can think about is how utterly blessed I am to call him mine.

I think that year 2 of our marriage is going to be the best one yet that I hope leads into many, many, many more years of love. I feel like we can get through anything together and that we will achieve any goal we come up with. He is my entire heart and being with him makes me better. I feel like as individuals we are strong but together we are unstoppable.

Wait for a love like this...if you haven't found yours yet. Everyone deserves to have that one person that you can always depend on... no matter the fights, the differences, or the misunderstandings. When they love you this much... there's always a way to make it back to the "Honeymoonish Happiness."

Chad, I may not be able to write you love songs but if I could I'd already have a 1,000 done. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for understanding me. Thank you for following me around that party that night and for never doubting that what we had was so special that you wanted to put a ring on my finger and be with me forever. Thank you for always taking out the trash and filling my car up with gas because you know I hate doing it. I promise to love you for the rest of my life and to always help you go after your dreams just like you have helped me go after mine.

To put it simply... you're the best thing that has ever happened to me.
I love you so much.
Thank you.
