Red Lips & Mac N' Cheese

I had a whole blog typed up yesterday detailing my weekend and then I deleted it on accident. I can't even begin to explain how mad I still am 24 hours later. My life feels so busy that I don't even feel like I have time to relax much less blog. Deal with the picture updates for now and maybe soon I will be able to write more about what's going on in my life.

We took Olive to the dog part on Saturday to let the little monster burn off some energy. She made a new friend "Juicy" and Olive only body slammed her once. Successful day at the park if you ask me.

Saturday night we went to Tap House in Bellevue for a friends birthday dinner. The food (pictured below) was okay but over priced the real reason to go is that they have 160 different beers on Tap. Get it... Tap House.

Chad got fancy Crab Mac n' Cheese and I got the Mahi Mahi with coconut rice and veggies. I wish my fish wasn't breaded and Chad wishes they hadn't put an entire onion in his. However, he was very happy with his pick 4 beer sample platter.
I was not as happy with my Tropical Paradise cocktail (pictured bottom right) which I thought was a martini. Stupid me for not reading the entire book menu.

I've also been trying out something new... Red Lips.
But I've also decided that taking any picture of yourself that is not a regular smile makes you look self absorbed and creepy...
Alas, I have no shame and you can't smile normally with Red Lips you have to look sultry and a bit annoyed. What do you guys think? I'm digging it.

There's more but it will have to wait. My salmon is done and Monday Night Football is grabbing my attention. Go Hawks!

Totally random Tuesday

I swear work has consumed my life. I'm sorry I've been such an inconsistent blogger my mom has now started sneaking in, "you haven't been blogging much" in our phone conversations and I sometimes forget that she and hopefully a few others keep up with us through my blog. I'm going to start posting more even if it's just a little blurb like tonight.

Chad and I decided to throw down a challenge last week. NO SUGAR NO SODA.
Well, we did awesome up until Saturday night... Chad did so good that we decided he deserved an award. I should have known better than to let him go to the store alone... He said with an innocent look on his face, "Baby I did good I only got 1 thing!"

Good thing that 1 thing was bigger than my whole hand and over an inch thick layer of white icing.
I'm proud to say I only had MAYBE 1/8th of that thing... Sugar addict ate the rest.

I went to the grocery store the other day and ran into these two guys:
I imagine them to be that charismatic in real life too.

I got a spray tan Saturday and took this picture to send to my sister in law Morgan.
I'm disgustingly tan or just disgusting.

AND I finally have proof. Chad has been telling me for years that I have a big mouth.
Yea, well whose MR. ED now bitch!
We both got teeth whiting kits and they gave us our teeth molds back when they came in. Chad compared the two and then laughed at me and said, "Yours look like my baby teeth molds."

I told him to go eat a cookie.
(see above for said cookie)

Getting Stoopid with 311

Last Wednesday two of my favorite bands were in town and wrapping up their summer tour at Marymoor Park in Redmond, WA. What two band you ask? Slightly Stoopid and 311! I have seen Slightly Stoopid several times but it was my first time to see 311. They were Amazing! I have several hard core 311 friends (yes, I'm talking about you Robbie, Toad, & Kim) that have seen them many many times and even been on the 311 cruise! I'm still ridiculously jealous of that but back to the point... I love music and I love to see a good show. What that means exactly to me is when the band you are seeing sounds just like or in 311's case BETTER than they do on the CD's. I can't stand the lip singing and track shows and most people just don't sound like they do on the radio but 311 is the exception to that! It was fantastic... they also had a killer light show and a crowd full of people that knew every word and danced their asses off. My kinda night.

A quick blurb about the venue: Marymoor park is HUGE and I had never been there before even though they have an off leash dog park and tons of good concerts. This may be my favorite outside venue I have been too second only to Lollapalooza in Chicago. It's pretty hard to beat Grant park but this venue was so awesome! We got to park in a field near the stage area and after a short walk we entered the gates to the stage/concession/bathroom area. It was almost like a mini fair or think Memphis in May but with only one big stage. I should have snapped pictures but I was too busy dancing. Enjoy the shots below that I did manage to get!

Slightly Stoopid:

311!!!

Jenn & I were having toooooooo much fun!

Oh Hey Nick. I love you.

UGH Blogger is being a WHORE right now and not letting me separate my pictures and I'm about to throw my computer across the room so just enjoy the random order of the pictures below. Our friends Jason and Jenn came too that night and these two are nothing but a party in a glass!

Oh... Amber is NOT the color of my energy right now...

----------------------

Less than an hour after this post my husband read it and we got to talking about what might have been our FAVORITE part of the 311 show. That favorite is "SA" the lead rapper extraordinaire... and then Chad was all like let me show you my impersonation... and I was like all okay I'm filming it:

I kid you not he did this one time and I was blown away and I made him do it one more time so I could show you guys on here. I'm so impressed. No REALLY... watch it!

Work Excitment!

If I could get off work everyday at 3pm I feel like I would accomplish a lot more in my life. Those last 2 hours could be used at the gym or at something really fabulous like shopping/happy hour. I doubt that dream will come true for me anytime soon because it's finally official.... I got a promotion!

I started working as a customer service/sales support for my company last November. You might remember how excited I was to get that job from this post and since February of this year my boss has been hinting that our office was about to grow and that I was in the running for getting promoted to inside sales. After working with the guys and them training me on everything under the sun the last few months have been exciting/exhausting. I can't wait to move out of my role that I am in now and start my new one. I love change and a challenge and the best part about all of this is the support I have from my entire office and I am so excited to finally get to announce it to you guys!

Expect a lot more posting about shopping.

Inside sales is exactly what it sounds like; however, this isn't one of those sales jobs where you have to beg people to buy things and be all annoying and gross. It's really hard to explain what we sell so I'll just keep it simple with electronic connectors and power supplies. I'm pretty sure most of my family thinks I'm lying and not employed but I swear...it's a real job and a really GOOD job. I'm so blessed to get this opportunity so quickly and I can't wait to start the transition next week when our new girl starts in my position!

Awww Sugar Sugar.

Top news for this weekend is that I ate WAY to much sugar.
I blame Chad... end of that story.
Labor Day weekend was so much fun! The hubs and I were actually off 2 days in a row at the same time. That hasn't happened in months... since we went to Cannon Beach in fact. It really does suck not getting to spend as much time off with him as I would like but as the guys at work tell me, "That's what keeps a marriage strong."
We had ourselves a little Mountain adventure on Sunday that I'll blog about in full detail later but here's my favorite picture from the day to hold you over:
I'm a professional 1 handed photo snapper.

Then yesterday we went on a little shopping spree. We haven't dropped that much cash in one day in awhile but hell we deserve it! I took CK to Road Runner to do the Shoe Dog thing and after an arm and a leg he came out with new inserts and new Nikes! I am so jealous of his shoes... I want them. The guys always have the cooler color combos in my opinion no stupid pastel pinks over in that section. To bad I asked the guy if they had a 6.5 in them and he said... nope. Such is life...

I love me some gray with a pop of color! He took a run this morning and I got an excited I LOVE MY SHOEEESSSS text. Guess we won't be returning them.

Then it was time to go to the Big Mall where you can spend all your money in less than 5 mins but first a shopping pre race meal:
It's just so unfair men (Chad) can eat that big ole Apple Fritter and not get fat yet that mini chocolate sprinkled cake donut makes me gain 10lbs...okay okay so I "helped" with the fritter. Stupid sugar.

 Breaking news!!!
While shopping I found a dress for Nicoles wedding rehearsal dinner.
I'll post pictures later but here's a hint: Color Block!

Reason #78 to get a husband.
