Anything is Possible

This video has blown me away. There are no excuses in life... anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I started watching this video when I lose motivation. Like right now my stomach is hurting and I'm not feeling very well but I've got 40 squats to do and dang it, I'm going to do them. Change takes time and consistency. If Arthur can do it, so can I. What are you waning to accomplish? Stop waiting. GO DO IT.

--------------
My husband is currently trying to do accomplish something right now that will be absolutely amazing if completed. He just launched his first Kickstarter project last Friday and is asking for his family/friends/fans to support him on making his next CD, Identity Crisis. He wants to record it this Spring in Seattle and is trying to get all the funds in line to pay for it. In years past, for all his other CD's he has paid out of his pocket upfront and then packaged and sold the past six albums all by himself. Well, as technology shifts and the Internet makes reaching out more of a reality he's decided to ask for support first and is asking his fans to PRE-ORDER the new CD via his Kickstarter (Only a $15 pledge)

Kickstarter is really neat considering it's success in backing projects for any person with a marketable idea. It takes a community and support for anyone to make it in this world and now there is a place where people can show that support in order for someone else to be able to create a product for the masses.

Please take a look at Chad Knights Kickstarter page and check out the pledges you can make and the rewards that they bring. Every pledge will be recognized and thanked because the people that support one another deserved to be recognized. Thank you in advance for glancing at the art my husbands trying to make and as always for taking the time to read the words that I write. Of course, if you can't donate just think about sharing this page with people you know or maybe even writing a blog to help spread the news of the project. Every bit of support means the world to us, as watching my husbands dreams come true is the same thing as watching my own.

Random news of the week...

News update for all things worthless yet interesting!

Jimmy & Justin did it again... epic.

My newest guilty pleasure. I swear I'm so ashamed at how much I LOVE this show. I know so many people just like this in the South and you know what... I miss them. Haha just watch the first episode and where you get to meet the cast. Hilarious.

Oh God... it's just so spot on.

That's enough for today... enjoy.

Girl Code !

Last Thursday we went with some friends to Parlor Live in Bellevue, WA to see Jessimae Peluso who you know from MTV's Girl Code.

She was hilarious. If you ever get the chance to see her do it but be prepared for filthy comedy. I like my comedy filthy so I was pleased but if you're not into raunchy just stay home and watch some Netflix. After the show we got to meet her and grab a quick picture. She was super nice and told Chad and I we were cute together... we became besties immediately. I asked her about her dog and we basically traded best friend bracelets after that. Not to mention she had the best shirt I've ever seen in my life...call me girl!

Yes, that is Kim Kardashians ugly crying face.

In other news... the venue is just a mess. It was the second time that we have been to Parlor and the crappy seating layout hasn't changed (meaning it's still crap) but this time the service was horrible. I don't know how this place keeps getting voted the Best in Washington because it's not. Laughs in Kirkland is way better and laid out perfectly for a comedy club. I hate going to parlor but they always seem to get the people I want to see; however, I'm pretty sure that was my last show there. I'm done with them and I wish you all luck if you give the place a shot. Make sure to get VIP seating if you go though because if you don't...it's even worse. Now I'm off to go give them a horrible Yelp review...

#crazythoughsgetsfit

If you follow me on Instagram you already know that I've started using it as a place to post my fitness journey. I wasn't posting very much and then I thought, hmm it would be a good place to post obnoxious amounts of fitness crap. I get inspired by seeing/reading about other peoples journeys and to be honest I want you guys to keep me accountable. I'm not on weight watchers or any certain diet I am changing my lifestyle one step at a time. I started the couch to 5k program to get me up and running again (pun intended) because running really helps me lose weight. I'm also taking on 30 day challenges this year to keep me doing something active everyday. It's been almost 2 weeks and I have to say I love it. I've discovered that I love workout apps and getting those little check marks everyday is so addicting. I will post from time to time on the blog about different workout things but if you want to follow my entire journey follow me on Instagram and check out my own personal hash tag #crazythoughsgetsfit.

In other news -- to further inspire my running training I just purchased some new kicks and what will hopefully be a fabulous new bra.

Who doesn't love new workout gear to get inspired by?!

What workout apps do you use? I'm always in need of advice so, give it to me below!

A Snowy Sunday

On Saturday night we got a nice little surprise! SNOW! I was so excited for this little Winter treat that we got up early Sunday morning and took Olive out to play and take pictures. She loved it. If you follow me on Instagram you might have already seen a few pictures but here are the ones that I got with the 60D. I just realized my camera needs a name.... maybe Dolly. Yes, I think I like that... Dolly it shall be!

Action shot of her eating the snow. Baby bear loves eating snow.

Oh how I love my little model. I'm so glad we got up early before all the footprints ruined the fresh snow. There is nothing I love more than taking Olive out to play. Her little belly gets covered with ice cycles and if there has been several inches of snow she has to literally jump in order to walk. It is by far the cutest thing I have ever seen.

Snow just makes everything look magical. The world always seems quieter covered in snow. All you hear is the soft crunch of it under your feet and when you look around everything just seems fresh, crisp, and clean.

Sochi 2014

I'd like to take this time to make an announcement.
For the first time in my life I refuse to watch the Olympics. I am DISGUSTED with the choice to have the Olympics in an area of the world that has very public anti-gay laws that you can read all about here and then to put the cherry on top (FOR ME) is when they decided to use 2 captured Orcas for "entertainment" at the opening of the games. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Read about it HERE.

Screw you Sochi. Screw you Russia. You won't be on my TV at all.
Not to even mention the stupid amount of money that was spent on these games. 50 BILLION or 5 times the amount Vancouver, BC spent. Just read this article to really get disgusted with the way Putin spends money.

What happened to it being about athletic talent? I understand that these athletes work their entire life to make it to the Olympics and I just think it is so sad for this one to be the one they got to go to. If I was an athlete there is no way I would participate here. It would be filled with a sick feeling of disgust if I set foot there. I feel so sorry for all the gay athletes that are having to deal with that very predicament but sorry, I won't be watching.

FREE THE WHALES!

WTF Wednesday

I set my hair on fire the other night by leaning over a candle to try and talk to my husband. Seriously, my hair was on FIRE! I thought for sure my shirt caught on fire because I saw flames but thankfully I swatted it out before anything too serious happened. The smell of burnt hair was aplenty in the apartment but after a few snipped off burnt ends I'm back to normal. Or as close to normal as I'm ever going to get.

It did have me feeling like a little like this when I emerged from the flames alive and well...

I tried to put Olive on my shoulders but she wasn't having it.

Love with Food

Three months ago I singed up for a Love with Food subscription after reading about it on Sierras blog. I wanted to wait a few months so I could try at few different boxes to give you guys a good review and after three of them I'm ready!

What is Love with Food?

I absolutely LOVE that they donate a meal for each thing you buy on the site. It feels good doing something good AND getting to try new products that I would have never thought about before each month. For only $10 a month it has been well worth the price and we've found a couple of new products that we really love through this.

The best part is it's all healthy foods! We are really into the organic and all natural lifestyle and finding new snacks each month that aren't terrible for you is really fun. It also gives us several snacks at a really cheap price each month. After workout almonds, pop chips, skinny chips, (blogging more on this one later!) chocolate candies, spinach dips, and the list goes on and on for what kind of products that we have gotten so far. Each month Chad and I get excited around the 15th when our little red surprise arrives in the mail. We decided on getting the Tasting Box for a year but the do have other options. However, in order to get the $10 price you have to go for a year but there are lots of promo codes that you can use to end up getting a free month or so as well. Use promo code FBGIFT to get your first box FREE! You just have to pay for shipping and handling and you can try a month FREE! I suggest you get a subscription though because just one month isn't enough. I want all the boxes!

They didn't offer the Deluxe edition when we got our subscription but it MIGHT be something we do next year. I'm a fan of the $10 price point though but I must admit but getting twice the products does sound tempting!

This is what the Tasting box gets you each month:

Below are some pictures of our boxes and what we've gotten:

Novembers box - those Coconut dang chips were amazing.

Decembers box - This one had some seriously good kettle corn and an all natural peanut snack bar.

Above is our January box (I forgot to take an actual picture) which was my favorite one so far. Those Home free gluten free cookies were AMAZING. I still have no idea how they make some gluten free things taste so good but they do. Also, they are hidden behind the hand drip coffee (which is for my mom when she visits in a week!) but those Hi I'm Skinny sticks were the total surprise of the century. They are amazing. I am obsessed with them and I'm trying to locate stores that carry them in this area. Some of the items are from small companies that don't get much exposure and getting to try these new products first is really fun. I love reviewing the products in the boxes every month on the website too. You get points in return and then with those points you can go buy the items from your box for Free! (If you have enough points) If you like what you've read/seen click this link and join! I'll get 500 points for each subscription so there is something in it for me but hey, help a girl out... I need those cookies!

Go Seahawks!

I'm so pumped the Seahawks won the Superbowl! Since we moved here over two years ago we started rooting for the hawks. As avid Saints lovers we sometimes receive a lot of crap for this but you know what I have TWO teams and I love them both. The hawks did amazing last year and this year it was just magic. It reminded me so much of when the Saints won their first ring and I'm just so pumped for them!

It was an awesome game but I'll be honest I felt like the 49ers were WAY harder to beat in the division championship. Either way - whatever I'm not that into stats and crap so I'll just leave you with a GO HAWKS and this amazing Buzzfeed...

And possibly my favorite:

Oh, the sadness! Cheer up guys... it's just football.
