Anything is Possible

This video has blown me away. There are no excuses in life... anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I started watching this video when I lose motivation. Like right now my stomach is hurting and I'm not feeling very well but I've got 40 squats to do and dang it, I'm going to do them. Change takes time and consistency. If Arthur can do it, so can I. What are you waning to accomplish? Stop waiting. GO DO IT.

--------------
My husband is currently trying to do accomplish something right now that will be absolutely amazing if completed. He just launched his first Kickstarter project last Friday and is asking for his family/friends/fans to support him on making his next CD, Identity Crisis. He wants to record it this Spring in Seattle and is trying to get all the funds in line to pay for it. In years past, for all his other CD's he has paid out of his pocket upfront and then packaged and sold the past six albums all by himself. Well, as technology shifts and the Internet makes reaching out more of a reality he's decided to ask for support first and is asking his fans to PRE-ORDER the new CD via his Kickstarter (Only a $15 pledge)

Kickstarter is really neat considering it's success in backing projects for any person with a marketable idea. It takes a community and support for anyone to make it in this world and now there is a place where people can show that support in order for someone else to be able to create a product for the masses.

Please take a look at Chad Knights Kickstarter page and check out the pledges you can make and the rewards that they bring. Every pledge will be recognized and thanked because the people that support one another deserved to be recognized. Thank you in advance for glancing at the art my husbands trying to make and as always for taking the time to read the words that I write. Of course, if you can't donate just think about sharing this page with people you know or maybe even writing a blog to help spread the news of the project. Every bit of support means the world to us, as watching my husbands dreams come true is the same thing as watching my own.

Hello 2014

I can't believe it is already 2014! I am really excited for everything to come and I feel good about myself. I love my husband so much I just want to squeeze him to death, my Pomeranian has the most incredible eyebrows, my job is fantastic, my friends are perfection, God is good, and the air is fresh. New Year resolutions seem unnecessary this year as I've had my goals written down in my heart for quite awhile. I actually had a discussion the other day with a coworker about the power in claiming something or in his words, "writing it down" and I couldn't agree more. Once you claim/write something down it gives it power. Words are powerful and faith is even stronger. I am Blessed. I will write that down until my hand falls off and I will believe that until the day I die. My heart is full and I will not forget that when rough patches occur as they always do.

What am I claiming this year you ask?

- Working towards being a better/kinder/stronger/smarter person
- Putting my health and happiness first
- Making my bank account grow and grow
- Focusing on experiences vs. things (even though I really, really, really like things)
- Growing closer to my family
- Watching less TV and reading more
- Growing my relationship with God and serving him better

I strive to be a good person. To be a happy person.

2014 you are mine to love. I will celebrate you every single day. I have 365 days to enjoy.
So far, so good.

A fresh Start

A fresh start!

Okay, so I have let time get away from me these last few weeks but while doing that I took time out to refocus on my goals for this year. This is my year. I've been saying that for the first 4 months of this year and I still really believe it. I want this year to be my year to focus on myself and to get really healthy. I'm sick of being overweight and I'm REALLY sick over not being able to do yoga better than I am because I have this big ole belly in the way. My struggle is with food! It just tastes so good and with a few other bad habits I have, my year has been stalled with losing weight. Now, I guess I have to be positive in the fact that I have been losing inches but damnit the scale should be showing some results too and it hasn't been. I've only lost like 5lbs in 4 months which is better than nothing but overall a failure in my eyes. I know why. I know how to change it and I've just recently made up mind to go ahead and do it. I'm so excited to really stop my bad habits and focus on all of my good ones. I enjoy working out and I'm going to start running again trying to build up to the elusive half marathon. I'll be honest and say that in my life when I lost the most weight was when I was running. It's just so easy for me to get burnt out with running but I know that once I really start back again and I start seeing those results it will get addictive. At the peek of my running success I ran 5 miles straight. I remember that day... I remember that feeling and I want that damn feeling again. So, it's time to go get it. As of today I'm kicking my bad habits out of the door and embracing the good ones. Life isn't about how good chocolate tastes or how many pizza slices I can eat it's about how quickly I can move and how good I can feel. Even though I'm never going to fully give up pizza and chocolate... I mean really what kind of life would that even be!?

If you're wondering what my plan is it's really simple: Cut out the bad habits (binging, booze, etc.) and embrace the good ones (running, veggies, water, portion control, etc.) I have a lot of things I want to accomplish this year but this is my main focus and I know I can do it. I just had to finally make up my mind and start.

8 months left... lets see what I can do...
Ready GO!

Lents not Cheesy.. but pizza is.

Whatever you do.. NEVER google pizza when you are hungry.

Thank God I have never seen one of these...

yummmm fettttaaaaa...

Okay, I must stop.

I will not indulge. Oh, and I guess this is a good time to state my Lent goals. No, I'm not Catholic but this year I have decided to do Lent as a personal goal & in hopes to lose more weight before the wedding!!!

Lent: No Pizza & No booze except for an occasional glass of wine.

The pizza is the main one.
Are any of you going to take part in Lent? If so share with me what you're giving up. I'd love to know I'm not alone! :)
