It's my Birthday!

Usually on my birthday I cry but this year I feel good. I don't feel that dread feeling but instead I just feel thankful. The last year was filled with ups and downs but it has ended on a high note and I am so excited about 2013. However, I still have some issues: I woke up this morning with a sore throat and I'm sorta kinda freaking out I might get sick and now I'm pumping myself with vitamins and meds in hopes of not getting sick while also trying to chase away some killer cramps. Happy Birthday right? It's okay though because I have cheesecake in the fridge and Chad has told me I can pick anything I want to eat for dinner tonight; also while he is at work today I am picking out our movie marathon choices for tonight and tomorrow. I can't think of anything I want to do more than to just lay around and watch movies with my husband for my birthday. I am so lucky.

We had a wonderful Christmas break that I will talk more about later but for today I leave you with some crazy baby news:

This is really going to happen...
= Baby

Shit. The world really is going to end soon... she does know that you can't return a baby after 72 days right? Congrats Kanye...now you can write Gold Digger Part 2 because she's got you for 18 years now.

Phaedra Parks off of Real Housewives of Atlanta is preggo with baby #2 now. I actually am starting to like her more this season and hopefully Apollo can keep from flirting with MS. USA from now on.

And this one is at it again... Jessica Simpson is still unmarried but popping out baby #2. I'm sorry but the older I get the more I'm not into this ass backwards way of doing things... I don't care if you don't want to be pregnant and in a wedding dress. Get married already and stop popping out bastards - shit your father was a priest wasn't he!?

Singer Jessica Simpson (Center), dad Joe Simpson and mom Tina Simpson arrive at the 2009 Operation Smile Gala at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on October 8, 2009 in Beverly Hills, California.
Oh, speaking of... while I was googling them her parents are getting a divorce and the rumor is that he has come out of the closet. Seriously... worst way to end a marriage ever: I'm sorry but after 34 years of being married to you this whole time I really liked penis. I'd kill him - not because he is gay but because I was a beard...for 34 years. (Tina I'm talking to you.)

I'm super sad about this one... I love Bethenny and I wanted her to have it all..but sometimes you're just to messed up to really make it work with anyone else. I honestly think she won't ever be able to work with anyone unless she really works on herself but she totally deserves to be happy and I think Jason really loved her... so sad.

And to no ones surprise...
These two are divorcing after 26 days... why isn't there a law for banning idiots from getting married... like really she should never be able to get married or have any more children. This is when I miss the good old days of sterilization.

What do I enjoy on my birthday you ask? Good celebrity gossip. Boom!

Happy New Year everyone!!!

Soooooup

I recently discovered that you can schedule out your posts and they actually post on their own! Why haven't I known about this? Yay, for getting blogs posted when I am out of town and not near a computer... like for example this one. I'm writing this on Thursday night and you won't get to see it until Christmas Eve. Oh, technology sometimes I really like you.

Anyways... let me tell you a little about our Denny's trip.
Chad decided that he wanted a chocolate milkshake instead of boring old chocolate milk and I held strong and got chicken noodle soup instead of the stuffed grilled cheese and red velvet pancake puppies. It took me reading the nutritional menu front to back 3 times to finally accept that 95% of the food there is terrible for you.
I've been a soup kick lately and chicken noodle is my new favorite. I mean I've always liked it but I've never craved it... life's changing over here folks. I don't even know who I am anymore.
But I still know who Chad is... Moons of my Hammy Omelette man.

We had a nice little date and it was fun to sit down for a meal without the TV yapping in the background or Olive standing on top of me panting waiting for a crumb to drop. We actually talked to each other and I didn't have to cook or clean or beat Olive to death.

So, since it is Christmas Eve I leave you with a reindeer sighting!
The little mad reindeer...plotting to pee on your presents.

Now go to sleep before Santa skips your house.

Victoria, BC

I posted a blog about Thanksgiving a few weeks ago and if you read it you know that we had some bad news on Thanksgiving morning. However, we were on vacation in Victoria, BC and even though it was an odd and at times emotional trip we still made the best of it and got to explore a very pretty little city.
Waiting to board the Clipper for Victoria, B.C.

First time using my "Married Name" Passport... I'm still pissed I lost all of those stamps.

Once we arrived we took a taxi straight to the hotel...which ended up being a short walk away and a quick ride...whatever it was freezing and I didn't know where we were. Now, let me show you the hotel room and the one randomly amazing thing that they did...
I tried to get Chad to push the beds together but he refused stating some boring excuse of them being nailed into the walls... I think he just wasn't trying hard enough.
I squeal when I get a kitchen in a hotel room! I have no idea why other than the fact that I just like that it's there even though I have no intention of cooking on a vacation.
And this... the coolest thing ever... a "Fresh Remote" I read somewhere one time that those are the filthiest things in a hotel. I never even thought about that before then and ever since I've been super grossed out by them... I slept a little easier this trip.

We explored a lot this trip and basically walked the whole city...it's not very big and we got pretty bored after a day but now that I realize how close we were to a movie theater I'm mad because we could have watched Silver Linings and we didn't. DOH! Up next is 700 pictures of us in front of Parliament:

This was in front of Parliament which we got to take a free tour of and learned a lot of interesting facts...
Like when I was sure that there is an Olive on top of the crown when really it's a mini lion. I also learned what that phrase on the banner says, "endless beauty" and it fit well with the city. Absolutely charming and beautiful, it reminded me of Europe quite a bit. Parliament had it's Christmas lights on and they kept going on and off all day due to it getting dark then light (gray skies) so enjoy both styles:

Random from our exploring...
Like New Orleans but no urine.

I'm obsessed with this H&M scarf. I need to go back and buy them in every color.
A new favorite...Poutine.
Gravy, french fries, cheese curds, and bacon. Comfort food to the extreme at Irish Times Pub
We took a trip to Miniature World and got our Geek on
It was actually really neat to see all of the tiny worlds they created.
Makes me want a doll house real bad.
The prettiest hotel I've ever seen. The serve afternoon tea here and I hear it's fabulous but we didn't go because spending 50 Dollars per person on tea, cucumber sandwiches, and cookies was just not our prerogative. However, when I'm rich I shall do it and not bat and eye.

Every city has a China Town
Lastly, Victoria will always be where we fell in love... with waffles.
West Coast Waffles was my favorite discovery... down a quaint little ally right before our hotel laid this magical world of waffle's and booze. $3 Rum and Diets yes, please. Please hurry to their facebook right now and look at the menu it's amazing. We ended up splitting this Banana and Chocolate Waffle which has now inspired me to request a waffle maker from my sister for Christmas. I can't wait to get that puppy home and start making my own waffle creations!
Sweet potato waffle I'm coming for you.

Speaking of Christmas we are on a plane right now flying home! Hopefully everything goes smoothly and we shall be spending the next week with the ones we love most. I just love Christmas time!

Elf on a Shelf

Last Friday I helped host a Tacky sweater Christmas party at a friends apartment. Now most of these friends sucked and barely dressed up so as usual I'm the coolest one there and Chad is an elf. We had way to much food and somehow I ended up with 4lbs of cheese in my fridge. That's just great since I'm going out of town for a week on Saturday = mold. Anyways, it was a lot of fun and now I'm making Chad wear his elf outfit on Christmas morning so his whole family can enjoy a real love Elf on a Shelf!

I love him so much it hurts. This cracks me up every single time.
He says "Hollywood" I say "Elf Ludicrous in Fred Clause" haha
And now the rest of the party...

(I'm a giant present - someone told me ... "oh the irony." I almost hit them.)

And now for the most disturbing picture taken:

So much holiday fun even with the ones that refused to get Tacky! I have a lot of other pictures and tons more people where there but I don't know them all to well and don't wanna post them all over the Internet so enjoy the ones I know don't mind. I have my work Christmas party tomorrow night and then we fly out bright and early on Saturday morning. I know I keep saying it but Man I just LOVE the holidays!
