Habit tat taaat
I have finally reached my goal of going to the gym 5 times each week.
Since I got engaged I've been focused to lose weight, but along the way something else happend...
I discovered I want to be healthy and active, I want to live for a long time, and I deserve it!
They say it takes 30 days to make something a habit.
Well, 18 days down.. 12 to go before I finally have my most sought after habit:
Gym 5 times a week.
When I get home its no longer im starving for chips & cola, I now want this:
I'm a very happy girl.

Watching one of my favorite movies:
Feeling the stress of a wedding that's coming forward as fast as can be.
Dear Lord,
I pray that no one throws a punch at my wedding.
I pray that the day goes down with no arrests.
I pray that the day goes smooth.
I pray that my excitement and expectations live up to this day I have been planning.
I pray that the only thing I worry about that day is saying I do.
I can't wait.
For all the insanity, stress, & worry to end.
I can't wait to say I do to the only person who has never let me down & never given up on me.
We all have a weakness
But some of ours are easy to identify.
Look me in the eye
And ask for forgiveness;
We'll make a pact to never speak that word again
Yes you are my friend.
We all have something that digs at us,
At least we dig each other
So when weakness turns my ego up
I know you'll count on the me from yesterday
If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me
Sing this song
Remind me that we'll always have each other
When everything else is gone.
We all have a sickness
That cleverly attaches and multiplies
No matter how we try.
We all have someone that digs at us,
At least we dig each other
So when sickness turns my ego up
I know you'll act as a clever medicine.
If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me.
Sing this song!
Remind me that we'll always have each other
When everything else is gone.
Oh each other....
When everything
Else is gone.
But some of ours are easy to identify.

We'll make a pact to never speak that word again

No soup for you!
Don't worry, I'm no soup Nazi!
I love soup. When it gets cold outside there is nothing more that I want in my belly than a hot, hearty, healthy, yummy, soup. I used to be ridiculously picky about food & I would never touch soup because I didn't know what all was in it. Then I grew older and wiser and started trying new things, much to my mothers astonishment. One day at Olive Garden I decided to try the sausage & potato soup and boy was it a good decision! After that day I was obsessed with this soup and my best friend who worked at Olive Garden surprised me one day after getting the recipe from one of the cooks. What an awesome friend indeed! Ever since I have made this soup on a regular basis and I have now tweaked it to make it healthy and to my liking. I hope you all try out this delicious recipe and enjoy it as much as I do!
Olive Garden's
Terri's
My sister told me that my soup does not look like the one at Olive Gardens so I posted a pictures. As you can see the only real difference is the white color of OG's. The reason for this is the Heavy Cream used. I do not use this in my recipe because of the extra fat it puts in the soup. I use skim milk and trust me you can't really taste the difference it just makes it a lighter color & lighter soup.
Recipe:
4 Slices of Turkey Bacon
1 White Onion
1 1/2 Tbsp of Garlic Paste (or fresh minced garlic)
1 pound of Italian Turkey Sausage *I like the sweet Italian*
1 1/2 Tbsp of crushed red pepper
3-4 Potatoes
6 Chicken Bouillon cubes
10 cups of water
1 cup of skim milk
salt to taste
1 bunch of fresh Kale
Cooking Directions:
Step 1: Cook the turkey bacon and then set aside and rip up into pieces.
Step 2: Cook the turkey sausage with the crushed red pepper then set it to the side.
Step 3: Dice the onion up then put the onion, crumbled turkey bacon, & garlic paste in your soup pot on low heat stirring occasionally for 10-15 mins *be careful not to burn the onions!! Use low heat!*
Step 4: Add the 10 cups of water & 6 Chicken Bouillon cubes to the onions, bacon, & garlic bring to a boil
Step 5: Dice up the potato's into bite size chunks and add them to the boiling soup.
Step 6: turn the soup down to medium heat, now add the turkey sausage and the cup of skim milk.
Step 7: take the fresh kale, wash it off and then tear the leaves of into little bite sized pieces & then add to the soup.
Step 8: Let this soup cook on low heat for at least 30 minuets. Once the potato's are soft it is ready to serve!
Now, most of the time I don't use the full pound of sausage and I usually only use 3 potato's since I try to make this soup healthier than it already is! I like it to be really brothyy so sometimes I add a little more water & milk. I also LOVE Kale. LOVEEE it! So, I use a TON in my soup and I like it cooked so I add it right after I add the sausage. The original recipe says wait until right before serving.
If anyone does try making this soup let me know how you like it & any variations you might have tried.
Until next time

5 things I'm obsessed with today
1. Saving Money!
I love expensive things but I am pretty good at getting deals. When Chad & I first started dating he didn't believe me but I always end up getting stuff at a discount or for free. Granted this most of the time had to do with eating out but hey, if its free it's FREE!
I'm also ADDICTED to coupons. I might become one of those crazy coupon lady's one day and you know what that's fine with me because they save a ton of money in exchange for some effort.
The best part about saving money is sharing the acquired knowledge with others.
Here is a quick list of things I get for free or really good deals on all the time:
Mypoints is Fabulous & it's Easy! I suggest to create an extra email account just for mypoints because the way this site works is you get points for opening emails that they send you. These advertisers send you emails based on what you say you like in your profile on mypoints - I suggest like EVERYTHING that way you get more emails and can get tons of points. That's it. you don't ever have to spend a penny, or take any surveys (however if you do through their site you will get MORE points!) Chad, my fiance started doing this after I made him when we started dating. It took him a year but he didn't do anything but click on these emails once a week and collect the points & then he got a $50.00 gas card from Shell mailed to him as a reward!
The best part is you get to CHOOSE your gift cards to get in the mail & I can assure you that they come within 4-6 weeks ready to use!
Here is a list of places I have gotten gift cards from since 2005 - Linens & Things, Target, Walmart, Shell, Regal Theaters, & Amazon.
It's a really good site that keeps getting better & if you have a little time each week to check your email you can have free cash in your pockets when you need it the most!
I love ice cream, especially the soft creamy deliciousness that is Cold Stone. Do I ever pay for their ice cream? Never. & I mean it. Never.
Cold Stone has this wonderful thing called the Birthday Club. You sign up register your birthday and then 5 of your "friends" birthdays. Now, if you're noble.. you will register your 5 favorite people and give them a coupon for a FREE Like it size with 1 mix-in. You also will get a free Ice Cream on your Birthday! this is a 5.00 value because their ice cream is costly, and rightfully so because it is THE BEST!
Now, if you're like me and Chad you have an addiction and stagger these 'friends' birthdays to every other month that way you can get you a FREE ice cream more than just on your Birthday! ;)
Just about any of your favorite restaurants will have a Birthday club..or stores will give you outstanding coupons if you register; here's my list that I personally know about but you should try out your favorite places website to see what all they offer:
- McAlisters Deli - $5.00 absolutly no strings emailed to you on your Birthday :)
- Baskin Robins- Free Ice cream scoop in a cone on your Birthday
-Dairy Queen- Buy one Blizzard, get one Free *they send this out all the time to your email*
-Red Lobster- $5.00 off any 2 Meals on your Birthday *deals always change with them*
-Outback Steakhouse- Sign up for their rewards club on their website. Code printed at the bottom of every receipt when you eat there. Type in the code, get free rewards!
-Bed Bath & Beyond- Sign up your email and get 20% off coupons all the time!
-Zaxbys- Free Chicken sandwich on your birthday
2. Paul Mitchell Products
One of my Best Friends is an AMAZING hair stylist. She owns her own salon STATIC in Madison, MS & if you're in that town you would do yourself a favor and go see Kerri. Not only is the salon Amazing but it is in my opinion a focus salon of the best products I have ever used!
My hair has NEVER been smoother, straighter, or curlier!
Call Static in Madison to change your life today! : 601.853.0054
3. My Wedding Dress
I can't tell any details about it, but I am obsessed and so excited about it!
4. Olive
This is my little world. My furrbaby. I mean honestly who wouldn't love this little fluff ball!
5. The Craigslist Killer
Everyone and their mom I think watchced this on Lifetime tonight. It is terrifying and insainly interesting that people can have secret lives. I'm always afraid Chad will turn out to be a killer because hes just a little too perfect ya know. I feel so sorry for that girl but really how could you blame yourself for not seeing evil in someone. I don't think it's normal for people to see that kind of evil in someone, there aren't signs you look for. Crazy is Crazy.. and crazy will convince you of anything. So, if Chad ends up being a crazy remind me I said that I can't blame myself for not seeing it before I married him. :)

I just figured it out
I wonder if anyone realizes that your parents (most likely your mom) taught you how to take shots.
I'm serious even the moms out there that don't drink, cuss, or sin.
You taught your babies how to take shots
