Meet the K TEAM.

Okay, Now it’s time to get down to business.

Terri & Chad’s ROAD TRIP across America from their old home Laurel, MS to their new home in Seattle, WA involves some interesting characters.
Let me introduce you to the road trip team AKA the A K Team (We caught that movie on HBO this morning before we left our hotel and I was inspired!):

Haley “FACE” Peck:

Meet Haley she’s my best friend (holding awesome going away presents!) and is as pretty as can be that’s why she’s dubbed FACE. I didn’t think she was going to go on this adventure with me at first but after I yelled at her and told her we would never have a chance like this again she finally agreed and got her ass in the car. At first, she tried to bring a suitcase bigger than my car so that she could bring all of her Twilight inspired clothes to WA but she was quickly told that she could barley fit in the car let alone that gigantic suitcase. So, FACE was a little sad but pulled through like a trooper and packed a smaller more efficient suitcase. Haley has also been AMAZING with the gigantic ATLAS I got for our trip; she pointed out that Alaska runs across the whole top of the USA (now I thought that was Canada but we are going to write the editors for it to be corrected as soon as we get to Seattle) and she thought we were going to be going threw Phoenix, AZ at some point on our trip. We have been having geography quizzes ever since and she now knows the capitals of several states! I’m so proud I could burst!

What does all this mean!?

C.K. MURDOCK:

Meet Chad AKA the husband, lone man, crazy in love with me fool, and soon to be Rockstar. He’s a little nutty (and terrible at using cruise control and keeping up with HANNIBLES driving) but pulls through and gets things done (like unloading the women’s luggage at each destination) which makes him the perfect MURDOCK. He has been having way too much fun but that’s okay because I drive him crazy on a daily basis so I let him get wild on occasion. He also just got his lip pierced and won’t stop trying to kiss me in every state. He says, “I need some alone time with my wife” I told him I didn’t like him and I wanted to hang out with FACE and HANNIBLE. That went over well.

Just kidding...I really do like him

Sharon “HANNIBAL” Smith:

Meet Sharon AKA Momma! She is also my best friend, rock, love of my life, and walking xanax bar. If I need to be calmed down she’s really the only one that can make me feel better and tell me to shut up and I can’t yell back at her. (Well, I could but just would never because she is the best and doesn’t deserve being yelled at in any situation) She was game for this road trip from the very start and people back home are taking bets on whether or not she is going to return. We are super close and I can’t imagine doing this road trip with out her; she’s also the brains of this operation and head route planner which is why HANNIBAL fits her like a glove. She is always in the lead car driving or telling just where to go and she is the logical force with everything else.

She also found her a new man but he didn’t have any gold in is plate so she dumped him shortly after this picture was taken. Moms a gold-digger now - True story.

Where's the Gold!?

B.A. Knight

Meet Terri, well never mind you all should know about me and the reason why I am the mean, crazy, and (hopefully) loveable B.A. I’ve spent this trip having several freak outs but for the most part “I” think I have been pretty well behaved and no, I don’t have a Mohawk yet.

EXTRA: K TEAM FurMonster:

Meet Olive she could be FACE if she was human because she is just too damn pretty. She got sick before we left MS and blew chunks all over my car but since then has been a complete angel and the best road dog anyone could ask for. She got a little snappy with my Uncle in St. Louis but I think she’s just stressed over all of the changes going on around her. I keep telling her we will be home soon but she just doesn’t get it.

Who would you be if you were in the A TEAM and why?

Have you ever traveled across the country with your dog/pet?

I am a basketcase.

I wrote this last week when I didn't have Internet... read below to understand how crazy I sometimes can get when I'm having full blow panic attacks about moving across the damn country. Whose idea was this again? Oh... mine.

--------------------------------------------------------------
October 4th 2011

It's Tuesday and guess what.. I'm passing on the three random things today and instead catching you up on this move! This has been a time of growth for our relationship and a time of absolute pure hell. Let me just start off by saying that, “I was excited to move” Well, I’m excited to Live somewhere new…Moving there on the other hand is horrible. I had about 20 meltdowns in the span of 7 hours yesterday and 1 full on panic attack that left me looking like this face down on a stripped bed….

Olive thinking... "you need to settle down psycho"

The task of packing ones crap up is one that many people don’t put a lot of thought into. You think, “Yea, I’ve got some stuff I’ll get about 10 boxes and that should be plenty” when in fact you need 3 times that amount. Or the task of wrapping each and every glass, dish, jar, and candle with newspaper several times so that it won’t break in route to your new home. When you handle so many 2009 (thanks to Chaddys granny & papaw) newspapers that your hands are stained black and feel thick with ink. YUCK. Not to mention all the standing, squatting, bending, lifting, and pushing that you will be doing or the fact that time is dwindling down and you may never finish. Forget that crap! We may never move away from Seattle now just because I never want to go through what I just did ever again! All in all I’m just another brick in the wall and we did it! We finished packing all 30 boxes, 6 bookcases, 2 TVS and 2 TV stands, 1 dresser, and a partridge in a pear tree….

I spy with my little eye OLIVE.

Too much CRAP.

We miss sleeping in that bed already... 6 days until we meet again!

We have too much stuff.

After freaking out all night and morning it was done and I was READY for the movers to arrive once they did it’s another story that I’ll save for next time. Let’s put it this way though: my Mom (who had to come down and help me because I was FREAKING OUT) now has two new facebook friends… Dave and Greg.

More moving adventures soon to come... We leave tomorrow for our first leg of driving up to St. Louis! Hopefully my Uncle in St. Louis has some Internet I can steal tomorrow before Chads show at Pop's Blue Moon.
Come out and play St. Louis!!

Valley of the Dolls

First off- The Wedding Pictures are IN!!!!
Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy! But now I have to select which ones I want BLOWN UP to go on my walls all over my house. Of course, most of them will just be ME because I like to look at myself and it was my wedding... Just kidding. I'm totally going to let Chad be in a few... maybe. I will be posting a whole blog soon full of wedding pictures and details of that crazy/fun/amazing/perfect day.

Perfect as in My MOH/Best Friend for LIFE Haley Vomited in the middle of my vows.
Yup, that totally happened.
Be sure to come back and read about those details!

----------------------

Due to the wedding pictures coming in my mom hightailed it to my house yesterday and is staying with us until she goes through all 1200 and makes her picks. I'm on lunch right now and she has only made it through the bunch one time and is already mad at me because there are just "too many to pick from they are all good" Well, Mom you can't have 1200 pictures blown up on you walls so get to work and make some choices! (I'm practicing tuff love on everyone right now and I know she is about to read this over my shoulder. Haha) Last night we cooked steaks and watched a movie I am kicking myself for not watching before. How did I miss out on this gem for so long?

It is a Cult Classic after all:
Why did Manson have to murder her? She was absolutely stunning.

Barbara Perkins you are my new idol.
Absolutely breath taking. I miss classic beauty and timeless style.
I'm going to start dressing like this:
And wearing my hair like this:

I always thought this movie was about pretty girls in California. That's it, I didn't know it was about drugs aka "dolls" or sexuality and stardom in the 60's! Love it. I love movies that have real endings that aren't happy and that really reflect how messed up life can be. (See my love for Closer & Love Story)
Now, I need more suggestions on old movies to watch that I have missed out on.

Also, I promise from this day forward to call any prescription meds that I have to take Dolls.

What are you favorite Classic Movies?

I can't believe we didn't buy anthing.

This past weekend was a wild ride. It will be a 3 part blog kind of a story & here is Part 1:

Work blows, so Friday was a tough one but I was excited to be heading to Jackson to see my family and friends. The drive there however, always blows. It's not to terribly of a long trip (about 2 hours) but annoying none the less. I didn't get into town until late and had an emotional exhaustion breakdown in front of my Gran who forced me to eat and watch old movies. I love that woman, she is so much fun and not a typical Grandmother at all.

The next day we had to go shopping. I thought that I was the one who needed to go shopping being that I needed to find about 3 outfits for our engagement pictures THIS coming Sunday and I need to get tons of little things for the wedding... like really: garter belts, cute underwear, shoes, jewelry, hair clips, who has time for all this!? Needless to say I was mistaken and this was not a Terri shopping trip this was a we have to find mom a mother of the bride dress like... NOW.

I think this may have been our first shopping trip together. Ever. In my entire life, with this group of women. Hilarious.

My sister Dawn, Me,  My Mom Sharon, & My Gran Mazie.

My Niece & I

Mazie taught me how to pose in case you were wondering.

-------------------------------
The shopping trip was useless. Other than the fabulous time I had with my family, finding out what size Calvin Klein Shoes I wear, & the possible finding of my rehearsal dinner dress the day included no purchases. Nothing was accomplished & Sharon still doesn't have a dress. How is it possible that 5 women went shopping and didn't buy anything.

After the unsuccessful shopping trip and a yummy lunch at Majestic Burgers (I had the turkey burger on whole wheat with feta cheese & Fry's) I had to do some TOP SECRET Bridesmaid gift stuff. I'm definitely going to blog about the expierence after the wedding because it was a ton of fun! I simply can't blog about it right now because they would all find out and what fun would that be!?
Shout out: to Mazie & Sharon for the help!

----------------------------------

Then it was PART 1 of my moms wedding gift from Chad & I.
HAIR MAKEOVER:

My mom is a beautiful lady but she needed a freshen up. I love my mom and I have an amazingly talented friend that owns an upscale hair salon in Madison, MS. STATIC A SALON (Facebook Page) Kerri is a one of a kind person who spent her Sunday off doing my moms hair, my hair, & our friend Meredith's hair. She is amazing and I'm so lucky to call her one of my best friends. Shes one of my Matrons of Honor at our wedding (one of the reasons I can't blog about her present) and has been putting up with me since we were 16.

Anyways, back to my mother's makeover:

Before:

After:

BAM! Hott Mommmmma in the House!
"Hide ya kids, Hide ya husbands, Hide ya wife!"

The second part of her gift comes Wednesday. She will finish her hair makeover with a straightening treatment that Kerri will do for her. I have no idea what it is called... Call Kerri to find out! Mom will also be getting a makeover & all new makeup done by Miss. Haley Skeen (My Maid of Honor) at Sephora in Flowood. I love spoiling that woman, I just wish I could do even more. Oh, and I swear they arn't just my friends because they do Hair & Makeup... hehe

-------------------------------------

I have SO much more to blog about the past weekend so be on the look out. The next part of the story is coming soon to a bloggerspace near you.

WORKOUT: 20mins on treadmill (1.3 miles) 10 mins on bike (.70mile) Monkey bars & arms workout.

I sucked big time today at the gym, but hey at least I went. The FI & I have the 5k coming up on Saturday and I'm trying to figure out why my leg has been sore for the last week. It's been tight and sore on my left leg in the theigh area. I've been trying hard to streach it out but I'm starting to worry I might need to lay off for more than 2 days to get it to go away. Which I really don't want to do. Hopefully, after a good night sleep tonight I'll feel better tomorrow.

I just figured it out

I wonder if anyone realizes that your parents (most likely your mom) taught you how to take shots.

I'm serious even the moms out there that don't drink, cuss, or sin.
You taught your babies how to take shots

As my mom said:
"Pinch your nose and take it fast."
