Welcome Home

Getting to Seattle at 5am has its perks.
The city is absolutely beautiful early in the morning and even though I was still passing in and out I was excited when I was awake to be in my new home with my cars. It's just crazy to think that we drove our cars across the country and they were not going back to Mississippi.
We rolled up to J's apartment and I'm sure he questioned himself as to who were these ugly, exhausted, scary looking people? Surely they weren't the friends that he once knew. Oh J, it's us in all of our 24 hour driving glory! We went upstairs and promptly all tried to go to bed but the Road Dog Olive was wide awake and ready to play. She was such and amazing road dog the whole trip and basically slept the entire time so of course when we got out of the car she was ready to run a marathon. My response to this was 3 hours of TRYING to sleep and then finally giving up and getting up to get ready and head to our new apartment. We basically got NO sleep but we were running off of excitement and headed off to get all of the paperwork finished so we could get in our new apartment. After all of that was said and done we had arrived and then they told me that we could paint our walls. Really? I can PAINT. Seriously? Okay I haven't slept in 35 hours but this sounds fabulous-Mom, GPS the nearest home depot right now! I am such a evil and sick person to make them paint a few accent walls in my new apartment after no one has had any sleep. I still can't believe no one refused; everyone just went along with it... and then in the middle of the painting I crumbled and fell apart crying asking WHY did I do this to us... WHY!?

Unloading the cars

Why yes, those are the same clothes and the same dirty faces.

And then I made everyone paint:
This was when I started crying and my mother thought she would cheer me up by painting "Baby making room" on the wall. I just cried harder...I'm not ready for kids Sharon!
I love how I'm crying like a baby and everyone writes sweet I love you's to me on the wall.. really people I've torchered you all day long, all week long, and you are trying to cheer me up!? My family and friends spoil me.

Later that night we went back to J's to let the paint dry,to sleep in beds, and of course hang out with the coolest guy ever! After a fun night at J's the next morning our movers came and unloaded all of our shit -also, let me just state that these guys were AMAZING! I can't even begin to explain how awesome they are and if they read this  I LOVE YOU! (Hey, It's possible we are Facebook friends now)

Bedroom

We are all just praising Jesus that we didn't have to carry everything upstairs and looking fabulous.

"We did it!"

Whoops the lotion exploded in the bag. No problem we will just make a lotion cup.

And then came Haley's whole reason for coming.
Making sure that we are properly protected and that if a killer tries to get us we can Mace him!

The Knights are Home!

Until Next time....

Hey, Lets drive from WY to WA in one day!

Sureeee, why not?

Let me just say this first:

This was the dumbest idea I have ever had and I still can't believe my Husband, Mother, and Best Friend agreed to this... they should have just slapped me but no we ended up driving 1,030 miles in ONE DAY. We were seriously driving from 5:30am to 5:00am the NEXT morning. Now, let me explain...

After visiting Mt. Rushmore and Devil's Tower we were exhausted, grumpy, and I was ready to kill everyone and anything I came into contact with. The theme for this Road trip was, "Don't poke the Bear" and I was the bear. Anytime anyone would start irritating me I would say "Don't poke the Bear" and it would be a funny way to relieve tension. Well, the bear was poked and about to eat every human in sight so we decided to cut our day short and stop in at a hotel in Sheridan, WY. This was a decent hole in the wall motel and Haley was sure she was going to be murdered but alas, things were fine. We woke up EARLY the next morning and skipped the workouts so that we could get on the road quicker. Our original goal was to get to Seattle the next night around 1AM. Little did we know what was in store for us that day.
The RED marks our route through Yellowstone National Park

It is all Yellowstone's fault you can't drive fast through there and it is GIGANTIC. It was beautiful don't get me wrong and I am glad that we went through it and saw what we did but CK and I both agreed we would be fine with never going again. Freaking wilderness.

We hit the road early and the outfit theme for this day was comfy, comfy, comfy, and warm.
Sweats and hoodies/jackets it is!
Coffee and Hot Chocolate CHECK!

Then we headed to Cody, WY where we didn't realize we would be driving UP and DOWN a Icy, Snowy MOUNTAIN. Haley was driving and when the light rain started not hitting the windshield anymore I realized it was now snowing... once I told Haley this she denied it the proceeded to freak out about going up the Mountain in snow. It was then my turn to drive again... and a photo op:

Snow!

Olive wondering what the hell is going on

Things were fine until we started getting higher and the roads started getting whiter...at one point we seriously couldn't see the road at all BUT Momma and I pulled us through and eventually we got to Yellowstone.

Sweat pants do wonders for your figure people.

It was an absolutely beautiful drive

Hello, Yellowstone!

Sulfur filled the air (it is on top of a Volcano!)
My little happy family

Then we decided to get wild and climb on top of the rocks and my mother was NOT happy about it but all was well nothing exploded and no one died.

"Look Ma, No Hands!"

The geysers were absolutely beautiful

Journey to the center of the earth

How beautiful is this? Not me.. my  mom and the Lake behind us

I was hoping to see a child demonstrate this. I'm evil I know.

Then we waited for an HOUR AND A HALF to see OLD FAITHFUL blow.
She took forever and we didn't end up getting out of the "park" until 4:30pm.
We were supposed to leave by 1pm at the latest. Set back #1. While we were waiting for the geyser to blow a bunch of Buffalo Roamed near us and freaked me out. They were HUGE and less than 300 yards away from where we were sitting. People were actually walking right up to them... I was waiting for this one chick to get trampled but she was lucky that day.

Then she BLEW!
Still blowing... she lasted around 20 minuets.

Then we had to hit the ROAD. At this point I was still under the impression that we could get to Seattle around 1am and get to our friend J's house but little did I know... LITTLE DID I KNOW.

Oh, and I bet you're thinking... Wow this is a really long post I hope it ends soon. Oh NO people. This post will reflect the day we had and we are only at 4:30pm.... mahahhahaha.

It took FOREVER to get out of Yellowstone and up to Montana but but when we did we had to stop for another road sign picture:

Looking bald and fabulous.

Driving across Montana took forever but then we hit Idaho and we all knew that we didn't have a long time to drive to get to Washington! It was late, like 11pm, CK had already driven on the WRONG side of the Interstate once... and we were all about to fall asleep at the wheel but we couldn't stop. I refused to be 3 hours away and get a hotel room. (I'm an idiot and it was more like 5.5 hours away!)

That didn't stop us from pulling over in the middle of the night on the side of a Mountain to get the IDAHO state sign pictures!

We were delirious at this point.

Crazy people!

We got back in our cars and headed to Washington. The state of Washington sucks for putting their state sign in the middle of the interstate instead of on the side of the road so we couldn't stop to get a picture! I was Very sad about this but at that point we said screw it we just wanted to GET THERE ALREADY. We rolled into Spokane, WA around 12:30am. That's when I realized we still had to drive across the entire state of Washington aka 4-5 more hours. It was at that point that I refused to stop. It was a damn mission now and if my mom agreed to keep driving I would drive the other car and we would make it damnit.
Well, my mom is a BEAST and can drive better than any trucker out there and agreed to this crazy mission. I however, started driving and about 50 miles in started falling asleep. I was exhausted and it was getting dangerous even though I was drinking a Rockstar and eating sugar to try and stay awake. That just made me sick and want to pass out even more. CK had to take over driving and he did so good. I say this because I keep passing out randomly for the next 4 hours and was completely useless as a driving partner. In the end we were barely awake but we rolled into J's around 5am. It was a totally HELL DAY and I can't believe we did it but we made it and except for that last day it was an AMAZING time. Hell, even that last day was great due to the fact it was something that none of us will EVER do to ourselves again.

However, I didn't stop punishing the people I love the most there, oh no I had another full day in store for us that I didn't even realize yet. Tune in tomorrow for that one.

A Road Trip to Remember

I'm Back!!!
Road Trip Picture Recap:

I'm a little to lazy to type up a huge story that consisted of our Road trip across America so I'm going to picture blog your minds off and hope that it satisfactory. If not...tough tacos.

After our Taco Johns night we woke up the next morning and went to the gym then got ready for our next day on the road. Haley and I decided that we would dress like weirdos for this leg of the trip so that meant leg warmers and Batch Tshirts that have the most horrendous picture of my husband (before I met him) on the back with a caption that says, "Would YOU Marry this guy?!" Total Class
Good Morning Nebraska!

Then we drove into our next state:

and proceeded to drive past this sign about half a mile and then stopped and walked down the interstate to get these pictures. A cop also pulled up and asked us if we were okay...maybe it was the outfits?

Our attempt at a JUMP picture!

Walking back to the car....

Then Haley made me hold her hand haha

Our next stop was an upscale little joint known as "Cowboy Town"

Were they had the creepiest anomatronic things..this gigantic monkey played piano and sang. We all thought we were about to end up in a horror movie and get murdered so we decided to leave asap.

Group shot with the self portrait option on my camera...

The next random adventure we had in SD was at The Corn Palace!
Check out their website HERE for all the cool info on this building Made of corn...for real.

We were way to excited about everything CORN that day.

After that we headed to Rapid City, SD for the night and stayed in the cutest little hotel ever. I didn't take any pictures of it sadly but they had heat lights in the bathroom and they were RED. I felt like I was at a night club and had intentions of doing a photo shoot in those red lights...alas that never happened.

However, we did wake up the next morning and went to the hotel gym (SCORE working out while driving across the country) and then got ready for our day exploring Mt. Rushmore and driving out to see Devils Tower. *Notice: Who the hell in their right mind works out before going to Mt. Rushmore!? I'm an IDIOT. I only ran 1 mile and did some arms, abs, and legs but then we climbed a damn Mountain. I was cursing myself the whole way up but my ass got a GREAT stair workout let me tell you.*

They were HUGE.... insert "that's what she said joke"
We decided to do FULL makeup this day. (well not CK)

Lovely ladies

We did a little rock climbing too

We climbed the Mountain and they were all over it. lol

Then it was onward to Devils Tower and another State sign picture opportunity!

Hello Wyoming
Hello double chin... bitch.

The wind was blowing like CRAZY so Haley had to help a sista out.
---------------------------------
Now back to Devils Tower:
If you don't know what it is I'm ashamed of you.
Remember a little movie classic "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"

Olive was just excited to get out of the car for this one.

My Momma really wanted to see this even though Aliens FREAK me out.
What's one of my biggest fears?
Get ready to judge me but I am terrified of getting abducted.
Scares the beegeezus out of me just thinking about it.

It was really fun to see it in person though... I remember watching that movie with my mom and dad when I was little never thinking one day I'd get the chance to see it in person. Let alone I had no idea where it was until last week haha.

Now cue the Holy Crap we see UFO'S photo shoot with Momma.
Hahah I love this woman.

I guess it runs in the family.

That's all for tonight! I'll catch you up on HELL DAY tomorrow. Let me just say I'm an idiot and made us drive 1030 Miles in one 24 hour day. Up a snowing/ice covered Mountain, through Yellowstone National Park, and then ALL the way to Seattle, WA. They should have killed me.
