On the road

No, this isn't about the Jack Kerouac book but it is about our crazy cross country traveling adventure. I swear I have been trying to blog... dreaming about blogging really and I've had absolutely no chance to. So many trips have happened and I really wanted to document them in detail but it looks like I'm going to have to play catch up instead. I will be posting about Jamaica and the second leg of our tour/trip in separate posts but here is what has happened since California:

I know I have pictures but they are on my other phone/camera and I'm currently in South Carolina without them. In order to catch you up on what happened driving through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Louisiana I will mostly write...

Arizona was easy - nothing of note happened and the only regret we have is not stopping to take a picture with one of the GIGANTIC cactus's. Oh wells.

New Mexico was great because we got to have lunch one of my friends from college that I have not seen in over 5 years! We did manage to take one picture together in the snow (IT WAS SNOWING IN NM WTF) and we got to meet her husband! They just got married earlier this year -- congrats again you guys and it was SO GOOD getting to catch up Jenny!

After lunch we made our way through El Paso, TX and all hell broke loose. Apparently, there was an ice storm in West Texas the night before and the temperature was still below freezing by the time we got there - then the Sun set and things just got worse. It wasn't snowing but there was ice all over the roads and people were wrecking all over the place. We were 150 miles from Fort Stockton (where we had booked a hotel for the night) and there is absolutely NO WHERE to pull over or stop on that stretch of I-10. I have never been so stressed out and scared in my life while driving. Traffic slowed to a mere 19 miles an hour and I witnessed two cars speed past us and then spin out of control and wreck. Thankfully my prayers were working and none of them hit us and caused us to wreck. Chad was driving his car behind me and we were talking constantly on our walkie-talkies but they eventually died. It was stressful. It added 4 extra hours onto our driving that day. It was horrible and when we finally got to our hotel we both got out of the car and just hugged and kissed each other and thanked God for getting us to our hotel safely. I'm so glad I booked our hotel a few days prior to this because every single room in town was FULL by the time we got there. We saw several people that had to go to local churches and schools for the night or even sleep in their cars - it was just awful but thankfully everything turned out fine for us.

The next day we woke up and started the drive to Austin, TX. I'm going to post about Austin in a separate post since we stayed there 2 days but one fun thing that happened was getting to meet a long time blog friend Cely from RunningofftheReeses! I can't tell you how many times her blog has made me LOL and she is just as funny in real life. It was so good meeting you Cely!

We stayed in a Austin 2 days and then we left to head to Lafayette, LA for one of Chads shows. We were SO CLOSE to Mississippi I was a little pissy we just couldn't go ahead and GET THERE ALREADY but we had to stop due to his show commitments and I spent the night feeling like crap in the worst hotel ever. Never stay at the Red Roof Inn there - It was just gross and to give you an example of WHY it was gross; as soon as, Olive ran in the room she went under the bed and came back out with a CONDOM WRAPPER in her mouth. Thank God it wasn't the condom but EWW! After that I checked all the sheets and pillows for anything else weird and after all was good I laid down to watch TV and then finally I fell asleep. Chad had his show and then got back late and the next day we got back to Mississippi! The final count was 3,600 MILES driven! It was a long 11 days and we were so happy to be back home. We got back into town and immediately drove to our new rent house and signed on the dotted line making it ours! We move in February 1st and our stuff should be delivered around that same time. It still keeps blowing me away how everything is lining up perfectly and I am just SO THANKFUL for that!

The next few days were spent with family and Chad had a few gigs and then on January 10th we took my nephew Matthew to his first Comic Con in New Orleans! (what's another 300 miles driving...) It was a blast and deserves it's on post but here is what we looked like:

We pulled out our Bomberman outfits from Halloween and Matthew was some Anime character that I still can't remember the name of... oops. #badaunt We ARE those people that dress up... I mean that's like 90% of the reason I love going! After that we headed to Jackson to spend some time with my family and I got to meet another one of my long time blog friends Cassie from Always a Blogsmaid

My beautiful Gran and I at our FAVORITE catfish house... it's a tradition we share and was one of the first things she wanted to do once we got back in town. Things like this are why I'm so happy we moved back... it's these little moments and memories that I've missed and I'm so happy to be able to spend time with all my family and friends whenever I want to again. I do miss you already Seattle but Mississippi is just HOME.

One night I was in town I met up with Cassie and we went to a yoga class together and then to Babalus for dinner! It was SO MUCH FUN. I can't believe I'm that friend now that everyone wants to go to workout classes with. My old self would have just wanted to do dinner and eat all the carbs I could find but now I get so excited to workout with my friends. Cassie and I grew up in neighboring towns and have always known about each other but I don't think we've ever officially met. Then I moved away and discovered she had a blog and then we fell in blog love and blogged happily ever after. #truestory She's fantastic and I can't wait to get to hang out more now that we are in the same area again!

Once I got home I told my Mom and Gran all about my yoga class and they made me show them the moves while my Mom copied me and decided that she could do yoga too. I love it - my Mother and I have so much in common and I hope she was serious about wanting to go to class with me one day! I used to do yoga a lot before I started kickboxing and I've always missed it. I'm pumped to get back into the yoga grove again.

#camelpose

Later that week we did some work at a few coffee shops because my Gran has no internet and our cell phone data plans are already tapped out for the month. It's been pretty amazing not having to go to work and instead work along side of my main squeeze. He goes and gets me water and does everything I tell him too #bestassistantever JUST KIDDING. He's been working his ass off booking gigs while we are starting our business and I'm just so proud of him.

After a few days in Jackson it was time to take a vacation... off to JAMAICA we went!

More to come on that in the next post...

The 'Bringing it Back' Tour

As I've talked about 7,000 times on this blog already my husband plays music. (Listen HERE)
(Local radio interview in Bellingham, WA)

Well, he not only plays it but he writes it, records it, sings it, creates it, ignores me for it, and tours it too. I have no idea why he was blessed with such talent but God really gave him a gift and I'm so proud that Chad shares that gift with the rest of us. With our big move planned and the cities selected Chad set out to do his FIRST cross country tour. I knew that he would be able to set everything up but it was A LOT of work. Over a month of emailing/calling/networking with venues, making sure dates and times would work, and lots and lots and lots of planning -- but he did it! He accomplished this dream and we are about to live it out together on the road for over a month! I am so proud of him... I am so excited to watch him play at all these different venues and I HOPE to see a few of you along the way. Below are the official "Bringing It Back tour dates" and tickets are on sale now... JUST KIDDING. We ain't on that level yet which means all shows are FREE! If we are coming to a city near you - you should come hang out with me.

*NEW DATE ADDED*
                 1/27 - Charleston, SC @ Craft Conundrum 6-9pm

The kickoff party for this tour is TOMORROW night at Rooneys in Woodinville, WA and it will be the LAST Seattle area show. I hope all of our local friends can make it to this one... we are going to miss you guys so much and the support that Rooneys has showed Chad over the last 3 years has been tremendous.

Tomorrow nights flyer:

In other Chad Knight music news:

Chads new song "THE DARK SIDE" (Star Wars lovers you GOTTA listen to it FREE here) is going to be featured on a compilation CD from Uplift Apparel. They are a fantastic clothing company based in California with the platform, "A clothing brand supporting the reggae scene."

Follow your dreams people and never let anyone tell you, "you can't do it" because YOU CAN.

Fun Fact: The 'Bringing it Back' tour got it's name from Chads song 'Lazy Mississippi'
"We are bringing it back down to L-Town - Laureeeeel Mississippi!"

Anything is Possible

This video has blown me away. There are no excuses in life... anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I started watching this video when I lose motivation. Like right now my stomach is hurting and I'm not feeling very well but I've got 40 squats to do and dang it, I'm going to do them. Change takes time and consistency. If Arthur can do it, so can I. What are you waning to accomplish? Stop waiting. GO DO IT.

--------------
My husband is currently trying to do accomplish something right now that will be absolutely amazing if completed. He just launched his first Kickstarter project last Friday and is asking for his family/friends/fans to support him on making his next CD, Identity Crisis. He wants to record it this Spring in Seattle and is trying to get all the funds in line to pay for it. In years past, for all his other CD's he has paid out of his pocket upfront and then packaged and sold the past six albums all by himself. Well, as technology shifts and the Internet makes reaching out more of a reality he's decided to ask for support first and is asking his fans to PRE-ORDER the new CD via his Kickstarter (Only a $15 pledge)

Kickstarter is really neat considering it's success in backing projects for any person with a marketable idea. It takes a community and support for anyone to make it in this world and now there is a place where people can show that support in order for someone else to be able to create a product for the masses.

Please take a look at Chad Knights Kickstarter page and check out the pledges you can make and the rewards that they bring. Every pledge will be recognized and thanked because the people that support one another deserved to be recognized. Thank you in advance for glancing at the art my husbands trying to make and as always for taking the time to read the words that I write. Of course, if you can't donate just think about sharing this page with people you know or maybe even writing a blog to help spread the news of the project. Every bit of support means the world to us, as watching my husbands dreams come true is the same thing as watching my own.

Birthday Madness

At the beginning of August my husband decided to kill me with events for his birthday. You see he is unlike any other man I know and gets really excited about his birthdays. Normally, he likes to do a few things but this year we had so many events that just happened to fall during his birthday week that Chad scammed me into all of them.

Now, if you know me... I have limits. I like alone time... I like staying in my house all weekend and not seeing a soul. So, mentally prepping for the mass amount of social interaction was pretty intense. Chad didn't really have a great birthday last year so this year I really wanted to make sure he had a blast and I can say without a doubt I think this was his best birthday ever.

I'm going to (try) and do a short recap of events:

Thursday (Aug. 1st) we kicked off his birthday week with a Pepper show at the Showbox at the Market. Chad had a gig at Hard Rock that day as well for happy hour so since we were already going to be downtown and Pepper (one of our favorite Reggae bands) was playing right next door we decided to make a night of it. The show was AMAZING. Pepper did not disappoint but the photo booth at the venue did. Our pictures came out wet and blurry - how rude. If you go there save your $4 and give that machine a kick for me.

Check out my Instagram to see a kickass video from that night and don't forget to follow me to keep up with all my adventures in real time.

We had a little down time that weekend but Chad requested my special Stromboli pizza on Friday night and a dinner date to Outback (his favorite) on Saturday. Sunday we had plans to go to our friend Terras and have a movie marathon in her complexs private theater. I got really excited about this movie event and pretended that Chad was really turning 5 instead of 31. Que the ninja turtle plates, movie candy bar, popcorn, Mexican food, and a jumbo cookie cake.

All of our friends suck because they are all healthy and junk so hardly any cookie cake was eaten and we ended up coming how with 90% of all the candy. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!

Seriously, only the bottom half was eaten. Chad's name was still pretty much intact. Weak people WEAK. Needless to say I made him take it all to work with him so I couldn't eat any.

The next night was the BIG event. Chad opened for Long Beach Rehab at Rooney's in Woodinville and a ton of our friends came out. He got to meet Q-Ball from Sublime fame and play with Patrick and ex member of Bad Brains. For Chad... it was getting to play with some of his idols and he was smiling from ear to ear the entire night.

The next day (Aug. 6th) was Chads actual birthday and I took off work so we could spend the day together. We woke up, went to the gym, and then went to Denny's for his FREE Grand Slam breakfast that you get on your Birthday! (Just bring your ID to prove it at any Denny's location)

The rest of the day was spent playing video games and watching movies with a Sublime and Iration concert later that night. I kinda sorta punked out on the concert... I just couldn't deal with having to go stand in a field for 4 hours so Chad went with his bestie Jarred and had a great time.

His Birthday week was officially over and when it was all said and done I asked him if he had a good one. He point blank said this was the best week of my life so, I'll take that as a nod for wife of the year.
I love you Chad. Every one of your birthdays is the best to me because if you hadn't been born I wouldn't have my soul mate. You are my everything. My world. When your dreams happen mine do too and I'll always be there supporting you. You have a heart of Gold and I feel so lucky that you gave it to me. I cherish you, my sweet sweet Chad.

The Mirkwood Shire Adventure

Day 16: Something you don’t leave the house without.

Clothes. I would say phone or keys but I do in fact sometimes leave those things at home. I'm 100% of the time clothed though.

-----------------
This past weekend was really fun. Friday night it was time for random adventures which started with us at Chad's gig in Arlington, WA. This place was one of a kind... I'm stealing Terra's photos off facebook because I suck and didn't really take any.

Follow her on Instagram HERE. She's an amazing photographer (Like for real. It's her job) and she just converted her old business blog to her NEW personal blog. If you want to read all about this single girls adventure you need to hop over to her page now and fall in love with her like I did.

Back to the bar/tattoo parlor/hair salon/shire/cafe/stage/pool hall. Yes, seriously it's all that an more check them out on facebook here if you don't believe me. So, this venue was really cool it had an amazing stage and great sound for the hubs but the food and Drink was lacking in my opinion; however, that could because this was ALSO a vegetarian/vegan cafe. Did I forget to mention this is a total Lord of the Rings/Magic/RPG (Roll Playing Game) meet up zone as well? Oh yes, we saw lots of interesting things Friday night but now back to the food... it was just eh and we both agreed that our Rum & Diets didn't have any Rum in them. Needless to say it was a still a fun night and Terra wants to go back now with her big momma camera so I may possibly be going back to the Shire.
I look a tad crazy.

Hubs did a fantastic job as usual & even closed with a Johnny Cash cover. Why does he sound so good? Like I'm not even bluffing I wouldn't keep letting him play gigs if he sucked... he's amazing. Don't take my word for it... go here and check him out.

So, anyways after the gig we decided to drop by the casino for a little gambling fun. However, I didn't have much fun because the machines took my money quicker than those damn girl scouts that are hustling at Freddys. Terra had more luck though and walked out $20 bucks ahead... you go on girl with ya bad self. We ended up spending those winnings at the mall the next day... I'll tell you more about my mall adventures tomorrow.

It's all in a name

Day 2: Meaning behind your blog name.
My blog name is:
And so it is, just like it should be

It's a lyric from on of my favorite songs The Blower's Daughter by Damien Rice. I also really like the simple message behind it. Basically that what is, is how it should be. I'm a really high strung person when it comes to planning and worrying about things that will come in the future and for some reason it gives me peace knowing that it will end up how it's supposed to.

Enjoy the song:

and the lyrics...

And so it is
Just like you said it would be
Life goes easy on me
Most of the time
And so it is
The shorter story
No love, no glory
No hero in her sky

I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes...

And so it is
Just like you said it should be
We'll both forget the breeze
Most of the time
And so it is
The colder water
The blower's daughter
The pupil in denial

I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes...

Did I say that I loathe you?
Did I say that I want to
Leave it all behind?

I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind...
My mind...my mind...
'Til I find somebody new

Jen LOVES the Bachelor!

Even though I'm wayyyy behind in blogging I'll go ahead and start back with what happened last night. I'm obsessed with reality TV but one thing I don't really watch is the Bachelor and Bachelor Pad. I am sad about this now because last night I was in a room full of people that have been on/or are on that show NOW. Thankfully Jenn was with me for Chad's show and is OBSESSED with the Bachelor. She knew all their names and favorite places, who the bitch was, and who the sweet ones were.

Now, time for what you all want... PICTURES!

There was a little rescheduling mishap which sucked and CK didn't get to play because we were the last one to show up and Michael was only slated to play for 45 mins but his "contract" demanded he play an hour. We got stuck in traffic and arrived last to be told that they had to move things around due to Michael's "contract" and since CK was the last to arrive that had axed him. TOTAL crap but it ended up okay because we got paid for coming, apologized too, free drinks, and our friends that came to see CK got their ticket money back ($40 bucks!). The manager of the bar was really nice too...CK was pissed but in all honesty we all came out way better in the money/drink department and CK will definatly get a rebooked makeup date. Instead of leaving right away we ended up hanging around using up our drink tickets and scoping out the scene to try and see who would come to the show. It was at this point that Jenn was telling me all about the Bachelor and the people that were from Seattle that were coming. I had NO IDEA that I live in a town with reality stars...what's wrong with me? I should be on top of this.

Anyways, I saw a really attractive guy walk up to the bar area and kinda stand around. He looked like we all do when we are waiting for friends but no one is there yet. I asked Jenn if this guy was on TV - he was too cute, had to be on the damn show. SHE CONFIRMED and was like, "OMG he's on this season that's airing now! I don't know his name....OMG!" Her excitement got me all excited and then we took pictures of ourselves and I creeped on him for a back shot.

Not excited at all.

Standing all TV fancy on us.

A few moments after this Jason and Molly walked in. I thought she wasn't wearing pants and Jenn said she was evil on the show. We also discussed the little information I remembered from their season about how he picked one girl and then changed his mind and married Molly. (I also watched a little bit of their wedding which got rained on and that weird looking guy from American Idol sang Over the Rainbow- which was so sweet) They are still together AND they live in Kirkland! How strange was that... anyways Jason and the cute guy we didn't know the name of started talking and my mission was clear: Go rudely interrupt them and ask for a picture for my blog.

Mission Accomplished.

I have devil eyes again and you can see through my shirt but all in all I love this picture! They were super nice and asked me if my blog was a Bachelor blog. I laughed and told them no, it's about my life with my husband whose a musician that was supposed to play earlier. They acted interested and we small talked and I found out that cuties name is DOUG. He is on the season that is on TV right now and of course I asked the question, "Well, did you win?" He gave me the cutest grin and the hand motion thing of, "well, I duno you'll have to watch" and then winked. He then proceeded to hit on this girl and told her how good she looked so I'm going to say Doug didn't win or if he did I doubt they are still together.

Then it was time to get the rest of the pictures with Molly, Jason, Lindsey, and Michael.

I was supposed to be in this picture and then Jenn was like...NO, I have to be in it.

When we finally went up to Molly she was completely sweet. I didn't watch the shows so I don't know the back story of her character BUT she was nothing but nice to us. After we talked for a few moments about Chad's music, my blog, and living in Kirkland she asked me if I was from Australia because of my accent. WTF? I will take that over Mississippi any day...why yes, I'm from Australia. I have no clue how those accents get mixed up. I actually met a girl from Australia a few weeks ago and she sounded way cooler than I do. Then we got on the conversation of meat (weird but it happend) and I told her how Chad works at Bill the Butcher and will run the one in Kirkland when it opens in July...she got extremely excited and was saying how much Jason LOVES Bill the Butcher's meat. At that point of course I say, "Yes, I hear that a lot, everyone loves my husbands meat!" hahahah ohhh I can't help myself. It's true! No one can beat his meat.

Then Lindsey was there and I have no clue who she is but Jenn was pumped. She said she LOVED Lindsey and that she got dumped at the Final Rose? I'm really not sure but she was also super sweet. We obtained this picture by Jason (Jenns Fiance) going up to her and tapping her on the shoulder and asking, "Hi, can I get a picture with you for my Mom?" Oh, she went nuts... she was like, "OMG,  your mom!? Sooooo sweet of course!" We didn't talk to her very much because shortly after we were heading out the door. Michael had just started playing and Jenn just had to get a picture:

Sooooo excited!

Jenn really wanted to stay until the end of his set because he said that he gives every single person that comes to a show a hug at the end. Really? Jenn wanted the hug... I had no desire to be hugged by a stranger that I don't even watch on TV. Maybe if you were Bethenny... The guys were totally creeped out by the hug thing so it was 3 against 1 very sad girl. Sorry Jenn!!!

Try two

He was okay...had a good voice but he is Really playing up the Bachelor, "I'm a sexy sweet boy" angle and sadly I'm about 98% sure no one was there to hear his songs, just to meet him. There were maybe 10 guys in the entire place and 2 of them were with us and 2 of them were Jason and Doug and the rest worked there. Overall, it was really a lot of fun. I wish I would have watched their shows now so I could have asked more questions but Jenn was freaking out with excitement and wouldn't tell me things to ask them because she didn't want to get embarrassed. I fully explained to her that if our friendship is going to continue we are going to have to work on this embarrassment aversion. Embarrassment is a part of my personality. I encourage and revel in it.

Then we went back to Jenn & Jason's to have a 90's video dance off WHICH WAS DUMB OF ME because now my ankle is messed up again. Oh, that's another story that will pop up soon.

What a FUN night!

Up next...a Twilight adventure!

HUGE NEWS!

HUGE NEWS!!!

We still have visitors so this is going to be short and sweet but it's to good not to blog about!
The hubs had an AMAZING opportunity fall into his lap this past weekend.
Let me explain...

Okay, so I'm not much into The Bachelor or Bachelor Pad as far as reality tv goes but I know some of you are...Does anyone remember Michael Stagliano from season 5 with Jillian!?
I don't so I googled him and here is some info.

Age: 27
Nickname: Stag
Residence: Sherman Oaks, CA
Occupation: Entrepreneur
From: The Bachelorette Season 5
Best known for... Being the adorable breakdancer who tried to confuse Jillian Harris by introducing her to his twin brother Stephen during his hometown date. Jilly wasn't fooled. After The Bachelorette, Michael got engaged to Bachelor: London alumnus Holly Durst, but they ended their engagement shortly before agreeing to go on Bachelor Pad Season 2. According to ABC, "The wounds from his break-up with ex-fiance and fellow Bachelor Pad contestant Holly Durst are still fresh. Michael must not only contend with 17 other contestants, but he also faces the prospects of Holly dating other guys." Holly is a children's book author and Stag also published a book called Wesley's Stories: Afterschool Adventures.

Did you love him? Did you Hate him?
Well, guess what.... Chad's getting to open up for him at El Corazon Friday night in Seattle! I am so beyond excited because to me my 6 degrees of separation just got Wayyyy smaller in the Reality TV world and that my husband is getting called to play with bigger and bigger acts.

Yea, That Chad Knight is MY Chad Knight..... squeeeeel.

If you're in Seattle COME TO THE SHOW FRIDAY! Meet me and maybe I can get ya backstage to meet a kinda sorta famous reality tv show star.

Oh, and go LIKE Chad Knight's Facebook Page and Join the event if you're going to go!

Tell me if you watched him on the show and any questions/comments you think I should ask/tell him!!

Froyo & Jager

Let me just start this off by saying out much I LOVE 3 day weekends.
I think every weekend should be 3 days, it is the perfect amount of time to rest after 4 days of working… why can’t this happen?
THREE day weekends people VOTE FOR THAT in November.

Anyways, Friday started off magical being that CK and I finally had a day off together for the first time in over a month! I miss getting to hang out with that knucklehead on the weekends since he is always working now. We decided that we would wake up, go to the gym, go to the movies (we finally saw The Hunger Games!), then maybe some shopping, and finally to his show at the Hard Rock for Happy Hour that night. All went as planned except CK has been a little under the weather so he didn’t go to the gym since he had to sing later (but I went!) and we didn’t have time for shopping and instead had our first Froyo bar experience which did not disappoint. I have told CK about Froyo and bloggers for a few months now (to which he tells me he does not remember) and how much I have wanted to go because:
 1. I like trying everything in small amounts
 2. I like to make my own “creations”
 and
 3. I freaking love Froyo.

We walked over to Peaks which was right by the movie theater after watching The Hunger Games (which did not disappoint it was heartbreaking wonderful and I may even like Peeta a little more now) and once inside CK got really confused. I swear this place didn’t really have signs either and if he would have gone in without me he would have probably just left or gotten $65.00 worth of Froyo. In any case once I figured out where to start the fun began. CK has a PROBLEM with sweets and the sheer SIZE of the buckets you had to choose from where awful! Their “small” bucket was better than a PINT… HUGE. Of course CK had to fill his up… and the whole time I’m like you have to pay for the weight of it…. Meanwhile he keeps loading on chocolate chips and strawberries and eating some every once in awhile and I’m like “You’re Stealing stop eating!” I’m thinking that by the time we go to pay its going to be over $20.00… but I was pleasantly surprised! Only $9.96 for both.

I tried out Pistachio, Cheesecake, and Red Velvet Froyo with a variety of toppings.

Meanwhile the beast got Chocolate and Strawberry Froyo with God knows what.

All in all it was pretty good but I want to see what other stores have to offer us. So now, we plan to hit these up every time we see one because I have finally gotten CK on board with the program!

What happens next is all Nicks fault. I blame him for everything.
We had to leave Peaks and head to downtown Seattle for CK’s Hard Rock as soon as we got finished because he has to be playing from 5pm-8pm during happy hour. Now, since it is now Spring and beautiful outside in Sunny Seattle (yes, I’m going there…it doesn’t rain nearly as much as everyone in the freaking world that has never even been here thinks) happy hour is now at the rooftop bar! It overlooks Pikes Place and the sound and is absolutely BEAUTIFUL.

The bar was so crowded that for a few moments Jared, Nick, and myself had to stand because there were no open seats. (luckily this changed after about 5 minutes) After we settled in Nick wanted to do shots of jager and that’s where everything went downhill. I don’t know what got into me but I agreed and to make a long story short: I made several new friends, got extremely inebriated, almost broke my phone, and this was all before 8pm.
Jared & the bad influence.

CK doing his thing

Once the show was over our party minus Jared (because of stupid work boo!) and plus a new friend (Jen I think is her name??) moved to another bar where I danced in a booth and was told I could only have water to drink. Well, ladies and gents that’s the ONLY thing I wanted in the first place so Nah. I do have to say that this might be the KEY to getting quick service at this bar… I have NEVER gotten water and food as quickly as I did that night. (Note to self) I don’t really recall that much after well, leaving the Hard Rock but from what I am told it was a pretty fun night. I blame Nick with everything in my soul because I never take shots especially of Jager and it’s just simply all his fault.  This all lead to a very interesting morning…. I had a yoga and wine tasting date at 11am the next day with my girl Angela… ehh... I bet you can only imagine how prepared I was for that.
