Goodbye Laurel Party

I've got a lot of catching up to do. (Shout out to Haley for letting me scam some Internets!) Expect lots of post every time I've got Internet access...
Last Thursday Night 9/29/2011
Terri & Chad’s Farewell Party!

How amazing a feeling it is to be loved and to be sincerely missed by people that have come into your life and poured so much into you and shaped what kind of person you would turn into. It has been such a bittersweet feeling leaving Laurel and moving onto something completely new 2600 miles away. I can’t explain enough how lucky I feel since high school. I went to college not knowing a soul there and now 6 years later I have the best friends and new family that a girl could ever hope for. Those few amazing ones I met in high school stood by me always and then all these new characters popped up and made me grow and taught me so many things about people in general. I cherish my friends; I cherish our memories, and the simple way that each one of them is different from each other. My batchlorette party was a perfect example of the mesh up of friends that I have. I guess it’s like when you have kids, I’m always scared that I will love one more than the others… but then with friends you love the different parts of them that fit so well with yourself maybe that’s how loving kids works too.

So, back to reality now – sorry I’ve been emotional lately (hence the outpouring of friend love) I hate to say that I didn't get to take a lot of pictures at the party (because my camera went nuts) of our wonderful friends and family but one person did come that I had to try and get a photo with...
One person that helped shape me entirely in college was one of my Sociology professor who single handily forced me to do my best and kept me interested and on my toes every year. I look up to her and the sweetest gift is the friendship that we have developed throughout the last few years. That being said we can’t take a good picture together for anything! Enjoy:

That is just too insane.
We love each once of our beautiful friends and thank you so much for coming to see us that one last time! It was an amazing night and a great last show in Laurel for Chad. I should have taken a picture of each one of you instead I’m going to give a shout our right now to everyone I can remember seeing and if I forget you don’t hate me: Hank & Kayla S, Kevin & Ginny S, Kyle T & Family, (including their sweet baby girl who danced the night away) Josh W, Tyler H, Jessie G, Chad’s Grandmother & Granddaddy, Uncle Tom A,  Granny & Papaw S, Mother & Step Father, Michelle C, Dustin, Nicole C, Harvey L, Donna C, Mrs. P, Tim T, Jodie J, Skinnard, Angie I, Zach U, Candice & friends, Big John & date, Shaumi, Drew P, Dana F & Father & Friend, Tracey P, Amanda G, Lisa S, Katie W, and more. I THINK I included everyone but if I didn’t I am So sorry and It is not on purpose – the out pouring of love and support we got that night meant so much to us I can’t even correctly explain it. Thank you from the bottom or our hearts!

Its been Crazy.

I just don't have time to blog right now and I feel like a total let down. I have lots of things to blog about but I am never at home, and if I am at home I'm busy packing boxes up. Well my friends the packing is almost finished (hopefully today) and once everything is gone I will be blogging a lot more because I'll be totally bored (well not really there is the whole thing about everyone in our family and friends wanting to feed/see us before we leave - must be a southern thing haha) I have several going away parties/gigs/birthday parties to blog about and a whole list of adventures that I'm planning on blogging about throughout our ROAD TRIP across the country! Here is a sneak peek at what I'm planning on:

1. A blog from every state we touch. We are going to stop and take pictures in front of every state sign we come across and I'll post about the adventures we come in contact with in said state. (Think Worlds largest rubber band ball adventures, Mt. Rushmore, and other random things I don't even know about yet!)

2. Chad's shows on the road. He booked a gig in St. Louis (our first stop!) at Pop's Blue Moon! If you read this and happen to live in St. Louie come out that night!! Meet me and my husband/family/friends and party the night away! (Swear we aren't killers - no time to hide the bodies)

3. Road food and hopefully Road Running. I really have this crazy idea that I should run in every state we stop in for the night (about 5 different ones) I'm really bad about actually exercising when out of town but maybe if I commit to blogging about it you guys will actually make me do it!? Give me opinions/advice people.

Well, That's all for now, I plan on blogging a few more times before we actually leave for Jackson but in the mean time enjoy some random pictures that will more than likely end up in extended "catch up posts" later-- I just hate giving you guys blogs without any pictures... so here ya go:

Meridian Underground Show (Post to come)

How good do I look with a baby! Baby Lucas!
(Chad's running scared now)

Besties Birthday & CK show (Post to come)

Surprise show up by my other beautiful Bestie!

Bringing back the duck face and I miss my weave. Siiigh

Now time to pack, go pick up more boxes, see the hubs family, and then GYM.

TTT!

Moving is so crazy I don't even know where to start.
Everyone's trying to spend time with us before we go (which is totally sweet but exhausting), Chad is boxing up my entire life, and having panic attacks daily. I just realized that this time next week would be my last night in my bed at my first home with my husband. Bittersweet my friends, Bittersweet. I swear even through this craziness I will try and focus more on blogging everyday so that I can catch all of these memories we are making. I'm going to shoot out a quick Triple Tangent Tuesday almost on a Wednesday but I made it before Midnight! A shout out to Laura over at MyNewestAddiction for jointing the TTT club!

T. I am driving across the country on the 10th with my husband, mother, furbaby, and my best friend Haley. We might all hate each other after this but I can't even begin to explain at how excited I am for this extreme road trip!
It's been brought to my attention that we are moving to the, "farthest place in the continental US that we could get away from Laurel, MS." Well, we didn't consider that in our planning nor did we anticipate people to be offended by it. All I can do is laugh and say, "I'll be home for Christmas" and hey... there's a little bit of Washington further out than Kirkland!

TT. I really Really REALLY don't like the disorder that moving brings.

Is it just me or does that look like a dildo fell outta that box?

TTT. Saturday night I made delicious snacks for some friends:

Cheese stuffed Cresent Rolls, Pesto Pinwheels, and Pigs in a Blanket.

Eat your heart out Paula.

Google stolen.

------------------------------------------------------

That's all I have for tonight folks.
If you're new to my site I promise I'm not usually this lame; follow me anyways.

PS. I did a 5k Sunday at my gym, ya know not in an actual race but on a treadmill. It went pretty good and I'm going to try and keep on running while moving...but this is going to be hard and take a lot of willpower to want to workout while we are on the road and not just drive and eat chocolate and french fries the whole time. MUST USE WILLPOWER.

Anyone have any tips on how to be on the road traveling/moving and how to eat/stay healthy?

Oh and remember if you are living in Seattle and reading this leave me a damn comment and be my damn friend. I swear I won't kill you, rape you, or steal your shit.
