Wine&Yoga OH and Scissoring.

Saturday, I woke up at 3 different times throughout the night before to take Ibuprofen, eat crackers, and drink Gatorade in hopes of not being miserably hung over Saturday for yoga and wine tasting afterwards. All in all I am very proud of my efforts because magically I woke up feeling fairly normal…I was very worried I would feel disgusting because honestly I hardly every drink anymore and boy did I outdo myself the night before. Yikes. Anyways, I woke up stretched a little and then got ready to go and meet Angela to ride to the winery. This whole experience happened because she saw a living social deal one a day a few weeks ago that included a 1 hour yoga class at Columbia Winery in Woodinville with a wine tasting right after served with snacks for only $35 bucks. She knows I love anything having to do with wine so we decided to go and enjoy some yoga too!

On the way...How BEAUTIFUL are those trees!?

Angela & I still blissfully ignorant.

The mere thought of drinking was making me want to vomit but I figured a good yoga session would sweat out all the impurities I had consumed the night before so that NEW impurities could be consumed after yoga. We actually thought that the yoga wouldn’t be that serious…not to hard core because hey, probably a lot of people signed up for the wine right? Oh no, Shit got serious and quick…I haven’t done yoga since high school…okay maybe once in college but legit yoga since high school - 10th grade to be exact but I work out, and I “think” I’m pretty capable but holy HELL at how hard yoga is! It is serious people and if I ever hear anyone say yoga isn’t really a good workout I might just slap them or at least show them my bruises on my knees and pride. I worked muscles that never get any attention and I did so many damn planks and downward dogs that even Miss OLIVE was even impressed later when I told her about it. Granted I couldn’t move Sunday or Monday without wanting to die but in general it was AMAZING! I’m going to start doing yoga once a week (thanks to another Groupon deal..I love Groupon/LivingSocial)  to work out all these different parts that I didn’t know I had. It hurt so much but in such a GOOD way. Also, I would like to “toot” my own horn with one move that I am a PRO at especially since I had NO IDEA it was even a yoga move. Heel stretches = my favorite thing ever. I had several people ask me if I was a cheerleader….no I’m just awesome okay?! My bestie said it best when I told her about it…"those are your party tricks” hahaha you see I used to do them all the time when we would hang out at parties just for the fun of it and then break into cheer routines. Why? I have no idea…we are girls and we are silly.
Endofstory.

Yoga...in a wine cellar.

After yoga we got down to the serious business:

During yoga while we were doing 1 out of 7 different “warrior” poses/holds the teacher said something that literally had me falling over laughing. I thought I was going to have to leave… “Scissor your legs ladies” WTF?! Does she even know what that means or refers too?! AM I the only one that has a dirty mind? Will I be going to yoga hell because I couldn’t stop laughing? Not to mention the whole time I’m sweating like a beast and praying no one is smelling Jager coming out of my pours (Angela swears she didn’t smell anything – I’m still working on believing her) Then there it is again… “Scissor your legs ladies! Tighten and hold” WTF!? You can’t say that to me! I can’t control where my mind goes.... sheeeesh!

At then end of yoga comes my favorite time…when you just lay there flat on your back and “relax” and just breath in and out… they fool you with thinking that’s all yoga is...oh no, TRUST ME it’s 59 minuets of pure hell before that “relax time” starts. After yoga I inhaled a bottle of water and then 5 different wine samples, 1 whole glass of my favorite wine, various amounts of cheese, grapes, and flat bread pizzas! It was FANTASTIC. I highly recommend doing one of these “adventures” one day! All of the wine was delicious and the flat bread pizzas that they make on site were OUTSTANDING. We had one that was a sweet fig based pizza with cheese, pears, and pecans which sounds extremely weird right? HELLO, it was AMAZING. Angela and I both agreed that we loved this winery, we loved the yoga, and we loved each other. It was a fantastic Saturday because at 1pm we had worked out and already gotten a buzz. That’s the kind of weekend dreams are made of right there. Can’t I be filthy rich and just do these kinds of things every day?

SOOOO good.

I'm a hot mess and look at Ang being all cute...

Ho.

The day didn’t end there for me though… but I’ll save that for later!
