WIAW #3

I've noticed lately that a lot of my posts have been about food.

This is my oops I'm a fatty face
This is okay but not so good considering I'm trying to lose weight and eat healthy and I'm making things like Slutty Brownies. It IS the holidays though AND I've had some great news lately but I need to snap my ass out of it and start posting more about working out instead of cooking; however, we will work on that later because I just LOVE me some:

I'm also planning on doing an ENTIRE Thanksgiving menu blog tomorrow since it is my FIRST Thanksgiving cooking for my family! (well, just CK and me because we have moved and aren't going to make it to Grandmothers this year) 

Now, back to the food... last night I made these amazing little things that I saw Giada make one time on the food network:

I tell myself that these aren't really That bad..but I still consider them a treat and for some reason all I wanted last night was some of those suckers.

I am now preparing mentally for Thanksgiving and mapping out the easiest way to cook everything. Tonight will be filled with prep work and CRAFTS! I've got several things I'm making for Christmas gifts so I can't post about them just yet but they are pretty cool if I do say so myself.

Today has been a very successful day though in other aspects - CK and I woke up and went to the gym (my first time in like a week - I've been a major slacker), then I had to get ready to go to my new jobs work party for Thanksgiving, (I only ate 1 roll- score for not diving face first in the pecan pie) and then I went and tanned! Now, I plan on not leaving my apartment until Friday morning when I head out for the first time ever to shop on Black Friday at Macy's, Nordstroms, H&M, and Victorias Secret - yes, I might be crazy but this year I am going to give it a go! (Pretty bad that I'm shopping for myself at all those places isn't it? Hey everyone else gets homemade crafts! hehe)

Today I got Great news!

And I think I looked supa cute while getting it! lol

I have been interviewing for a position with a great company this past week and today was my last interview.... and I got it! I accepted my official offer today at 3pm while I was waiting on Breaking Dawn to start and tonight we decided to celebrate with food. Muahaha!

First off let me explain how I found out about this job... It's one of those weird stories where I believe in everything I have that God wanted me to be at this company. I got annoyed with my little job that I had due to some changes that happened and NO miscommunication about changing my schedule last minuet (don't you agree that if you change what someone works the night before that you should call/text them their new hours instead of letting them show up 2 hours early and then telling them to go back home?) so, last Tuesday I went back home after I went to work when I was originally supposed to, sat in front of my computer, and got on Career Builder. Let me also just state that I have never used that website for finding a job before; however, I typed in some things I was searching for and found 2 openings that I was interested in. I emailed them both my resume and then didn't think much of it. I figured hell why not just see what is out there, little did I expect a phone call an hour later from the first company that I sent my resume to! I was shocked and excited. He wanted to do an interview the next day and I accepted. That interview went really good and later that afternoon I got an email asking me back for a second interview which was today. As I stated above things went great and in less than one week I got a great job at a great company!

 I am so freaking blessed beyond measure I just don't know what to do with myself.

ALSO, other great Knight news - CK got 2 radio stations interested in him today and 2 more gigs!

He has set up 2 segmaents which will play his music and one of them wants to do a 30 mineut interview on air! We are so THANKFUL this Thanksgiving words cannot even begin to explain.

Tonight is the BIG night!



Yup, his first "real" gig in Seattle!

Being new to the area I really have no idea what clubs are a big deal and what venues can get you a lot of new fans. Well, after he booked this one and we started promoting it we learned real quick that this is a pretty BIG deal. El Corazon has national acts all the time and is on the same level as Showbox (according to some of my new friends in town) and it's pretty exciting that we've only been here a month and CK is getting to play here. He has booked himself up at other gigs up until the new year so things are looking up. I can't wait to see how he is received tonight (hopefully people will pass out from being amazed and panties fly) and I'm totally excited that a ton of our new Seattle friends are coming out in support!

I'll be sporting my Chad Knight T-Shirt, (on sale now!) some killer new boots I just got at PacSun the other day, (in celebration of something major that I'll be posting about as soon as it's a done deal) and a skirt... yea, you heard right - I'm totally wearing a skirt tonight.
