A day at the Horse Track

I'm currently trying to teach Chad how to use my camera so he can start taking pictures of me for the blog but it's still a work in progress. On Sunday we had a Groupon that was needed to use before it expired so we decided to head to Emerald Downs to watch some horse races! It was rainy that day and I decided this would be the perfect first outfit photo shoot. After 200 pictures only one turned out. What was wrong with all the others you ask? I'll let you see for yourself: 

This is going to be an interesting learning process. 

Here is the one winner of the day and there is still a stupid leaf on top of my head: 

I'm loving the Fall in my new rain coat, black tights, and black boots. I could wear this same look every single day. Is that too much?

Then we headed to Emerald Downs and promptly used our free food vouchers. We didn't plan on getting ice cream but once Chad saw that Junior Swirl it was in his hands before I knew it. It turned out to be a really fun photo prop and I'm in love with how cute Chad is. 

Note to self: Feed future children lots of ice cream and take pictures.

That smile and laugh gets me every time. Then Chad wanted to practice. These were much better and I now have hope that he will be able to take unblurry pictures of me one day. Although, I didn't get the memo to not eat the ice cream while posing. Modelings hard.

Way to much JUNK but we just can't turn down free stuff. 

Besides the fact that it was raining on and off and we forgot to bring cash we really had fun at the Emerald Downs. I can't wait for next summer and hopefully another Groupon because we plan on going back and betting on some horses to WIN!

It's always nice to feel missed, wanted, and loved:

I'm Back guys!! I've been gone all weekend traveling all over the south and I'm trying to accept the fact that I am back at home again. The first stop on the trip was Clinton, MS where Chizzhad had a show on Friday night. My camera was left in the car by accident and being the extremely lazy person I am I did not go get it. (Don't judge me) That night was spent with HOSH and entailed searching for ice cream and watching G String Divas on HBO. We live really exciting fast paced lives and only watch the classiest of shows, as you can tell.

Saturday morning was spent in Jackson, MS with my Gran. We had breakfast and talked for a few hours (yes, hours) it was interesting though. She is 80 years old and full of stories that I've never heard of before. I'd like to think I learned a lot about her this weekend and getting to spend time with her always makes me happy. Saturday afternoon was spent with my mother... we went shopping and then went to my sisters house for a double birthday party for my sister and my niece!

Cherish your family even if they are all crazy

Three generations

I'm really enjoying getting to spend as much time with my family as I can right now. I have to say I've seen them more this summer than possibly my whole college career. Life gets so busy sometimes that you take people for granted and I'm working on being conscious of that and soaking up as much time as I can. Even if they do keep me from running and make me eat birthday cake. (That's the worst) After the birthday party my mom and I headed down to Laurel (That dirty stinkin town) and caught the tail end of Chizzys coffee house show at Jitters. Then on Sunday morning we loaded up the car to head to Chattanooga, TN for Chad's Showcase (Yes, that is the 3rd show this weekend- can you say "Hustler") but that is going to be on the next blog because my husband just said, "get your nose out of that laptop." So, I have to go watch a movie now and then it's bed time because we have a date with the gym at 5:30AM to run off all the junk we consumed this weekend (more on that later as well) Sweet dreams homies!

Wedding Week!

My life is one big whirlwind right now. Let me explain:

I'm getting married THIS Saturday. OMG

I have 1,000,000 BILLION things to do.

I had to work today & tomorrow.

Family is arriving in town Wednesday.

NONE of them remember what I tell them hence the SAME question being asked 1,000 times & me wanting to kill myself.

I need to workout, I need to tan, I need to not get any bruises.

I want to ENJOY this week but Y'all (in a southern drawn out whiny voice) "I'm tired."

Details are getting done... things are happening ready or NOT.

& Sunday we are flying off to the Bahamas to stay HERE and I cannot WAIT.

Weddings are so crazy all you think is: BIG DAY! BIG DAY! BIG DAY! 

I keep forgetting I'm going to the Bahamas and I swear I'm even more pumped about that! Talk about a yummy cherry on top of a delicious sundae.

PS. I want some no bake cookies. (will resist all bad things until after the wedding)
