Chad's adventures in cooking

Every once in awhile I get tired and I don't want to go in the kitchen to cook.

I always cook and CK usually hangs out and does work on the computer; however, there are those times where I want something to eat but I refuse to make it. That's when it's his turn and that's when something bad usually happens. Let me just say that my husband is an awesome man but cooking isn't really his thing. Actually it's not his thing at all..before he met me he only cooked things in the microwave.

Yesterday was one of those days, I had a crappy day at work and I was exhausted. I didn't get that much sleep the night before and worked all day and night so in general I was pooped. I came home and bitched to CK for about an hour then I made him rub my feet and then I got super hungry so I had to get up and make this:
Pizza Hut ain't got nothing on me.

I like to cook things from scratch (which takes a lot of time and energy) because it is just so much healthier and I think it always taste better. I wanted some pizza but a "healthy" version so I made some whole wheat dough and added sauce, cheese, feta, turkey pepperoni, and some sausage on CK's half.  It turned out sooooooo good; although, I should have let the dough rise more but I was starving and couldn't wait. Anyways, this was a slave job after the day I had had but look at this beauty shot!!:
YUM.

That wasn't all for the night though, after dinner I wanted something sweet.
I don't buy bags of cookies or sweets because: #1 I'd eat them all the time and get fat, #2 I love homemade things from scratch.

This leads us to CK's adventures in cooking.

I was sitting on the couch and I said,  "I want no bake cookies and you're going to make them." Sweet I know. Anyways, he accepted the challenge and I told him what to get out and what to do from the couch. This was going to be cooking 101, easy, dummy proof, sweet and simple directions. I pulled up the recipe I use every time on my Iphone and told him what pot to get out:
Ingredients
Successfully getting the right pot and super excited about cooking!
Me getting excited everything was going good while I laid on the couch

At this point everything was going fine, I was telling him what to get out, where it was in the kitchen, how to measure, and telling him to tell me how the stuff was cooking in the pot. Then I noticed he left the kitchen and I said, "where are you going you have to stay in there and get the next stuff ready before it burns!" He didn't speak to me... he just went to the bathroom and came back real quick. He was quite, a little too quite... so I got up and said, "I'll add the oats and stir you're taking to long they will burn." Then I walked around the corner to the kitchen and saw this:

Really Chad? Coco was EVERYWHERE... it was a mess this was after he tried to clean it. All I could do was laugh. Every single time he tries to cook for me something goes wrong.. he didn't want to tell me because he was trying to clean it up before I saw it and yelled at him. LOL Then after this picture he said, "you're just going to make fun of me on your blog now!" Well, baby you were right but this is too good not to share.. I still love you and so will they. While CK was busy cleaning I helped finish the cookies:
Ready for Oats and Peanut Butter!

Ready to be spooned out and cooled!

That was the point where Chad got finished cleaning and told me to get out of the kitchen that he was going to finish making me cookies damnit.

Giving me the I hate your blog face.

Then I went back to the couch and waited for my cookies while doing this face:

So, last nights lesson?
CK just get famous already so we can hire someone else to make us cookies when we are both tired.

Take me out to the BAR Game!

In case you live under a rock I'm here to let you know that it's Football season.
In the South there is no such thing as Fall (its just too damn hot all the time) so it was replaced a few years ago as Football season and you don't come between a Southerner and football season.

Granted, I like this "football" season but you can come between me and it... especially if you have a nice cold beverage in your hand. Some things I like about football: first things first the food (yes, I said it), the booze (yup, went there too), and the sexy men running really fast down the field with that cute little brown egg shaped ball. I'm pretty easy to please; I guess football to me is like Hooters for men.
Judge me if you must.

I saw the most adorable play earlier when I was at the gym watching the Patriot & Chargers game:
This little chubby angel intercepted the ball and ran as fast as his little heart could take him earlier and seeing this brightened my day. This defiantly goes in my most favorite football moments EVER book! I love it when chubbies get their moment in the spotlight, that's probably because that's most likely what I look like when running and us chubs gotta stick together! I hope he took that football home with him I know I would have.

------------------------------------------
Last night we also had another run in with football. The Hubs, Me, Katelynn, and Drew tried to go tailgate and to the USM game. Like I told you all before it was going to be hard to ever go to another game after the VIP treatment I received the last time. CK got off work late and made us miss the tailgating and I didn't want to go into the game late either so, we ended up at The End Zone a local sports bar right across from campus. Que the good times:
Kate & getting driven to the game (bar)

Her turn to be pretty, my turn to be weird (like I need a turn)

I think they farted.

More fried food like the day before whoops.
(Broccoli, Cheese, & Bacon Bites)

100oz of BEEERRR & More Fried Food ^^^^^

Man my husbands sexy

Red Snapper Shots are making me wonky-eyed again.

Kayla and Hank came to play

Only classy people here.

Yes, that's a straw in my beer.

Silly boys

It's been a really a fun weekend and I'm so glad I got to spend it with Katelynn! Who says that you have to go to an actual football game to have fun? Take me to the Bar!

And since I did 4.6 miles on the bike tonight at the gym I made these babies:
No Bake Cookies
Chad says they look like poop. I say they look like heaven!

I'm also going to work on the big blog post for tomorrow right now.
It will be posted first thing in the morning and I'm sooooo excited to share the news!

The In Crowd

I want to get in the in running crowd. I have Got to step up my game with running and reading some of my favorite running blogs inspires me and also makes me feel like that kid in high school that just wants to fit in. I love this girls blog Running off the Reese's and she does the best picture captions and is my inspiration for this post. Hopefully this give you a little insight and laughter into how I look at running.

I read all these blogs about, "getting my long run in today 16 miles" and I'm thinking... what in the hell? I consider my long run walking to my car.

I'm totally impressed and hate you a little bit for it but I just love reading all about your adventures.
Today at the gym things went good considering I took the last week completely off from everything. Epic fail- I even bailed on the spin class I blogged about...I know, I know I'm going to blogger hell for lying to you guys. However, today I got in 3.6 miles and got asked for my number (weird, I never knew I was the least bit attractive in the gym) it was a little odd and it was my first time having to say..."Sorry, I'm Married" You should have seen the look of, "Oh shit" on his face. Saying you're married to someone when they are trying to get your number is completely different than saying you have a boyfriend. I think it's the ultimate brick wall of: Nope you're defiantly not getting any. All of this took place in the middle of me running - Who comes up to you while you're running on a treadmill to ask you for a number??? Oh, sorry I made you ask me 2 times before I told  you I was married. You were mumbling and I was breathing so hard I couldn't hear you the first time. Man, I felt like a bitch.

Shut up, and yes I am

I can't believe I actually like running either... even if I only do it 3 miles at a time. When I was little I played soccer and I hated running so much I wanted to be the goalie (which I sucked at) needless to say soccer and I didn't work out. However, my mother finds it absolutely hilarious that I run all the time now and she likes to look at me and say, "I mean you used to hate running, I couldn't get you to run for anything" Well, Mom I remember always running into the kitchen when you cooked something.

Now, it's time for some wine with my girls before we head to CDK'S show.

Wedding Week!

My life is one big whirlwind right now. Let me explain:

I'm getting married THIS Saturday. OMG
I have 1,000,000 BILLION things to do.
I had to work today & tomorrow.
Family is arriving in town Wednesday.
NONE of them remember what I tell them hence the SAME question being asked 1,000 times & me wanting to kill myself.

I need to workout, I need to tan, I need to not get any bruises.

I want to ENJOY this week but Y'all (in a southern drawn out whiny voice) "I'm tired."

Details are getting done... things are happening ready or NOT.

& Sunday we are flying off to the Bahamas to stay HERE and I cannot WAIT.

Weddings are so crazy all you think is: BIG DAY! BIG DAY! BIG DAY!
I keep forgetting I'm going to the Bahamas and I swear I'm even more pumped about that! Talk about a yummy cherry on top of a delicious sundae.

PS. I want some no bake cookies. (will resist all bad things until after the wedding)

End of the world shopping

I'm serious about this spinning business.

In preparation for the "end of the world" tomorrow the FI and I took care of a few things tonight.
  1. I got my hair did
  2. We went to dinner
  3. We went shopping

Dear Lord, I love you and I'm now ready whenever you are.
Love - Terri

Back to the shopping... It was a successful trip to Target tonight; the following items were purchased:

A teal dress, a black swimsuit, green shorts, skirt, pop chips, paper, and ribbon.

However, the top two most LOGICAL items purchased together were these:

A bike seat cover for spin class and my personal bike. I wasn't kidding when I talked about how much my ass hurt. It is even worse today... you should see me trying to get in and out of my car. Hilarious.

Oh noo, the beast attacks!

My seat cover Olive bear!

and then... the reason for the seat cover, was purchased.

Target COCONUT COOKIES.
I'm not kidding there is heaven in the middle of these.

ahh thank GOD the FI loves them... he has almost eaten the entire box which means I haven't had the chance to yet and I really don't need all those extra calories.

Haha what a good sport for taking a guilty blog pic.

"I can't believe I ate the whole thing"
