Friday Things

Happy Friday! I'm a happy girl today and I'm ready for the weekend. This week has been full of ups and downs but surprisingly I shook it all off and have been enjoying the good news. Well, I guess it's not good news yet but the possibility of GREAT news has me giddy with excitement. I refuse to pay attention to the unexpected $450 bucks I had to shell out for my car on Tuesday... I mean really. Car maintenance = stupid. I could have bought a new purse for that! Anyways, to close out a good week here are a few randomly awesome articles:

1.  ONE SIZE fits Most - What that really looks like on a 6 different women *
Seriously, I HATE you stores that do this.

2.  10 True Crime Documentaries that will give you nightmares
Because I'm obsessed with Documentaries and serial killers. I've only seen the Paradise Lost ones from this list so now I have 9 new ones to scare myself with!

3.  10 things you DIDN'T know about the VAGINA
I mean... I only knew one thing from this list!
This makes me calling my period week "Shark Week" even more valid.

Now, I want to know who gave it the name because you KNOW it was a MAN.

4.  Impossibly cool gifts you should spend your money on this year.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!??!? Someone please spend $275 on a replica of little Olive for me. There is A LOT of cool stuff on that list too - not all 275 bucks either. Check it out!

5.  29 Old People Rocking Highly Inappropriate T-Shirts.

Okay, I wasn't either and then I Googled it. GROSS! Haha these kinda make me excited to get old. I'm going to wear the most inappropriate t-shirts I can find!

 Have a great weekend!
Oh and lets do a link up!

Life 2.0

Friday Night is consisting of me Not going to CK's show (yes, I'm obviously a horrible wife) and instead staying home listening to the rain and FINALLY getting to watch the Documentary Life 2.0.

You may remember me bitching about the availability of the Documentary that was on the OWN network ONE time. They never showed it again and then the damn filmmaker didn't have any copies out yet - so, 8 eons later Netflix gets it and here I am...staying in on a Friday night for it.

I mean the fact that it was only on ONE time is just ridiculous Oprah. You could have seriously played Life 2.0 more and not 7000 episodes of this:

Have any of you ever seen this show!? It is nuts...but completely interesting. I swear people are the most entertaining thing ever. Screw scripted drama...reality baby, RE-AL-ity!

Yes, I cheated.

He Cheated.

Are you freaking kidding me!? TV Gold.

I must go...my TV is calling.

Whad up DOC.

I punked out tonight on the hubs show. (Sorry babes)
Work sucked today and I didn't feel like going out, being seen, sitting in humid tropical storm air, or eating gross food at Buffalo Wild Wings. (Everything they have just tastes like old/overused grease to me) Tonight I'm hanging out with one of my favorite girls:
Oliveeee olive oliiiiivvvv! (sing like the soccer FIFA Ole Song!)
I will kiss you senseless
No, I didn't just stick my paw in an electric socket- It's All natural baby.
I'm so much more fun to hang out with than that guy behind me.

I feel like a bad mother because we are gone a lot so I cherish spending time with my furbaby. Tonight has consisted of her pooping in the kitchen, (she lives for showing me how much she loves me) trying to eat the food that I cooked, lots of naps, a few games of fetch, and watching documentaries. (Yes, Olive loves them too!) I have to say that one of my favorite things to do is be a hermit and stay in on a rainy night watching documentaries (oh and blogging/blog stalking). Not saying that I don't love a good movie but I could literally sit and watch documentaries all day ever day. I am currently watching the Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills series which is about the West Memphis Three (who were recently released from jail) it's an extremely interesting and detailed doc which is hard to watch sometimes due to the graphic nature of the crimes. HBO did this one and usually any documentary that they do I love. I'm also obsessed with True Life on MTV - maybe that's when it all started with me and docs. Check out the trailer to Paradise Lost below:

Another doc that is absolutely amazing is The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia. This family is insane, hilarious, outrageous, and quite frankly unbelievable. I've always loved learning about different kinds of people and how they live their lives, maybe that's why I fell in love with Sociology in college. I want to Study people, to infiltrate these groups, and to learn how they see life and why they do the things the do. See this trailer to wet your appetite for this family's story:

I'm pissed about this next doc. because I MISSED IT. Life 2.0 is about people on second life and it explores what ways their online life is affecting their real life - or "first life". I wanted to watch this SO BADLY but I was gone doing something the night it came on, on the Oprah Winfrey Network and apparently it will never come on again. I netflixed it and had to Save it because there is no release date. I could buy it off the guys website but it wouldn't get mailed to me until 2012. WTF. If any of you saw this doc. make me even more jealous by telling me what you thought about it please! Check out the trailer for it here:

I need MORE suggestions now. If you are a nerd like me and love documentaries please don't keep them from me and comment on this post and tell me what I should check out next. I find everything deviant interesting and I'm always searing for new Docs to watch especially on rainy nights alone with the furbaby.

Tomorrow's my long run wish me luck on my 4 miles!
