ByeBye Mississippi.

I'm not going to keep you guys waiting any longer and from the title of this blog post I think you can guess what our Big announcement is! No, I'm not preggo like tons of people were thinking (guess I'm looking extra large lately) This is something that we have been wanting to do for the last 4 years and after planning, saving, and making sure that all our eggs were in a row it is Done and the apartment is rented! We are moving out of Mississippi into the great unknown 2,700 miles away...
to the beautiful city of Seattle, Washington!
Right after we got the Stamp of approval from our new apartment complex!

The main reason for this gigantic move is for Chad's music (CHECK HIM OUT HERE AND LIKE HIS PAGE ON FACEBOOK) and the second reason is for adventure. We both want something new and exciting in our lives and I want him to chase his dreams. He really is a fantastic musician and a wonderful person (I told him he may need to stop being so wonderful because most people that make it in music aren't always so nice) and if anyone deserves their dreams to come true it is him. When we were getting our marriage counseling by our preacher he asked us a question about how we knew we were supposed to be with each other. I immediately knew my answer and I still feel the exact same way and I think I will forever... I really believe that God put me on the planet to find Chad, to love him, and to support him completely. He has a wonderful network of family in friends but honestly the support was lacking. You see a small town musician and think he is good and go to a few shows and buy some CD's but the bigger picture is that he has that drive and that talent to go further in life. In my opinion he has just simply outgrew Mississippi. I want him to go for it in life; to never look back and wonder "What if I would have gone for it?" This is his go for it moment, our time to start our lives together, and his time to shine like I know he will. Every second since I met him I felt like God was pushing me in the right direction and that I was doing exactly what I was supposed to do. I'm not sure what success or failures are waiting for us out there but we are going to face it head on and together.  (forever & always)
A beautiful little park in our new city of Kirkland, WA

There are so many emotions running around right now and Chad is basically doing cartwheels in the living room as I type. We secured the apartment on Tuesday and I booked our movers on Friday. We turned in our notices to our jobs, (HIS is the one that held me up on letting out this massive news until this morning!) let our landlord know we are leaving, and let both of our families know the date we are leaving Laurel, MS: October 6th 2011. (Happy birthday Marley! She is very pissed at me that we are leaving on her birthday lol) On the 6th we will head up to Jackson, MS to spend the next 3-4 days with my family and friends. Chad is also busy booking up his last Mississippi shows that some of you have been questioning us about what the "Last show" means, now you know. I think the last one is going to be in Clinton, MS October 7th so I expect to see everyone there and bring money to get your Tshirts and Cds (We are both jobless now! Yay!)

This blog is going to be really fun for the next little while. I plan on detailing our move, our road trip across the country, and our ups & downs of finding our way around a new city with limited friends (BUT WE DO HAVE SOME GOOD ONES WAITING UP THERE FOR US!) This is the life I've always wanted and it is scary as all get out to leave everything you have known behind, but that's what Change is for and how dreams are accomplished.

If you live in Seattle or around the area and read my blog let me know! I need new friends and your advice on conquering a new city.

Now, enjoy some random pictures from our trip:
Apartment searching day 1!

He did so good driving a rental car for the first time!

Our sign that we should live in Kirkland, WA in our Kent hotel room haha

Just doing a little shopping a few miles away from our New apartment!

We are actually doing it!

Flying back to Mississippi excited about what we just did.

I can't wait to blog more about this, any questions you have for me let me know and I'll try to answer as best I can. I'm so excited I could just burst!

Take me out to the BAR Game!

In case you live under a rock I'm here to let you know that it's Football season.
In the South there is no such thing as Fall (its just too damn hot all the time) so it was replaced a few years ago as Football season and you don't come between a Southerner and football season.

Granted, I like this "football" season but you can come between me and it... especially if you have a nice cold beverage in your hand. Some things I like about football: first things first the food (yes, I said it), the booze (yup, went there too), and the sexy men running really fast down the field with that cute little brown egg shaped ball. I'm pretty easy to please; I guess football to me is like Hooters for men.
Judge me if you must.

I saw the most adorable play earlier when I was at the gym watching the Patriot & Chargers game:
This little chubby angel intercepted the ball and ran as fast as his little heart could take him earlier and seeing this brightened my day. This defiantly goes in my most favorite football moments EVER book! I love it when chubbies get their moment in the spotlight, that's probably because that's most likely what I look like when running and us chubs gotta stick together! I hope he took that football home with him I know I would have.

------------------------------------------
Last night we also had another run in with football. The Hubs, Me, Katelynn, and Drew tried to go tailgate and to the USM game. Like I told you all before it was going to be hard to ever go to another game after the VIP treatment I received the last time. CK got off work late and made us miss the tailgating and I didn't want to go into the game late either so, we ended up at The End Zone a local sports bar right across from campus. Que the good times:
Kate & getting driven to the game (bar)

Her turn to be pretty, my turn to be weird (like I need a turn)

I think they farted.

More fried food like the day before whoops.
(Broccoli, Cheese, & Bacon Bites)

100oz of BEEERRR & More Fried Food ^^^^^

Man my husbands sexy

Red Snapper Shots are making me wonky-eyed again.

Kayla and Hank came to play

Only classy people here.

Yes, that's a straw in my beer.

Silly boys

It's been a really a fun weekend and I'm so glad I got to spend it with Katelynn! Who says that you have to go to an actual football game to have fun? Take me to the Bar!

And since I did 4.6 miles on the bike tonight at the gym I made these babies:
No Bake Cookies
Chad says they look like poop. I say they look like heaven!

I'm also going to work on the big blog post for tomorrow right now.
It will be posted first thing in the morning and I'm sooooo excited to share the news!

Deep Fried Mississippi.

First things first:

I totally left you guys on a cliff hanger and due to bullshit I have to leave you hanging until Monday on this topic. It's still life changing, some of you may already know, but it just can't be Internet official just yet. Monday people, Monday I swear!
-----------------------------------------------------------
Let me just jump into last night:

Mississippi as we all know is one of the healthiest states in the country with culinary innovations that make the rest of the world jealous.

The Hubs had a gig last night in Hattiesburg at this place called Downtown Grill & Grocery. It was a teeny tiny place filled with people and the smell of fried fatty goodness floating in the air. They offered a crappy variety of beer but an amazing assortment of food that will make you fat and question your goals about fitness and life in general. Oh, and slap your Momma.

I was too drunk to take pictures of the actual food from the place so I did some Internet stalking and ripped these from the web. AKA Thanks Google. Don't judge me. The husband will not let me handle nice cameras when I don't even understand how to turn it on after copious amounts of wine and beer.

We all sampled the following:

Deep fried Oreos.
Deep fried Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches.
Deep fried Snickers Bars
*Hey Cely how about this before a run!*

And of course Deep Fried Cheese Stixs.

I will say I did not eat all of this..but I tried everything and I am fatter because of it. Why is it that you can fry anything and it makes it better. I really don't eat a lot of fried foods but good Lord sometimes they are just amazing! Not to mention I looked like a coke addict with all of that powdered sugar on me. Seriously, that is the messiest food ever created I think there's still sugar in my hair.
All of this healthy eating took place after the shows so we are talking around 1:30am. Great for healthy eating just a fantastic job there Terri. The start of the night was filled with walking around downtown stopping for a slice of pizza and a few glasses of wine and then back to the show. It was a good time filled with fun friends which is just how I like to start my weekend... enjoy random pictures below:

Disclaimer: We were already drunk-eyed and trying to not look ridiculous.

Michelle my bell

Trying to get the flower and not look terrible.

Blurry Drew & CDK

We are just awkward.

Katelynn came to see me! (She's here all weekend expect to see a lot of her)

Smashley

The boys doing there thang.

Lesson that was learned last night? Take pictures BEFORE you get drunk and wonky-eyed.

---------------------------

I did do good today though. Got back in the gym after a week off (Shame on me) and we are getting ready to see our other good friend Marley and baby Lucas! Then it's to the USM game tonight!

How is your weekend is going my friends?
