The Knights are!
(Catch up post from LAST weekend - Not this weekend LAST- Yes, I'm still terribly behind.)
It must be a southern thing but everyone has been feeding us. Thankfully it hasn't been pizza and cheesesticks and some of it has been actually healthy! Score for Terri not gaining 20lbs on this roadtrip. For our last weekend in Laurel we tried to spend time with Chad's family in order to see them all before we left on Friday. Here are some pictures from the family get togethers that took place Saturday and Sunday of last week:
Chad and his Papaw Jack
I love this photo
The first time I met Papaw he told me:
"Uh oh...you've been bit by the Knight curse. You don't stand a chance now girl."
He was right.
Three generations of Knight men.
I'm just excited there is a pretty good chance the hubs will have hair when he is older.
Those pictures above were from last Saturday night. Mimi & Papaw grilled out for us and the weather was so wonderful we basically stayed on their patio all night. It's been really hard saying goodbye to Chads family...they are completely supportive but very sad to see us leave. The next picture is one of the only ones I managed to get of our Sunday lunch gathering over at Chads Aunt Sharon's house. She made the biggest pan of chicken spaghetti I've ever seen and it was a good time to see most of that side of Chads family.
Little sister Morgan, Momma Diane, and CK
PS. I just noticed CK wore the same outfit two days in a row... what would TMZ say Chad!? Shameful.
It's been super hard to say goodbye to those two but remember:
We'll be home for Christmas.
It's kinda funny blogging these a week late because they just don't seem like long gone memories. Everything's happening so fast! The move is here and we are on our way to St. Louis first thing in the morning. Life just doesn't wait for anyone or anything to be ready- it just smacks you in the ass and says get moving. In Chads favorite words, "Come on baby we've got some dreams to chase."
In other news!! I haven't been a total fatass/let down! Brace yourselves...We went running yesterday! I really want to try and not be a complete failure at running/exercising while on this adventure. I've gotten Haley to promise to run with me in every state that we stop in for the night - hopefully we both stick to it and don't say never mind and eat pizza and cookie dough in our hotel rooms/cars for the next 5 days.
I don't have any cool pictures from my run like other bloggers do...I'm basically just trying not to die remember? We stayed at my Grans in Jackson and she has this Huge neighborhood behind her house that weaves in 700 different directions and I wanted to go get lost back there. Well I accomplished that mission and ended up coming out on an extremely long road filled with tons of cars zooming by and no sidewalks. Did I tell you all that I'm a genius sometimes? CK went with me on our "run" and I basically made him stay with me the whole time so he didn't get nearly as good of a a workout as he probably wanted. (I was painfully sucky due to the fact it had been a week since I last ran) We left our Ipods at home though and had some really good conversation when I wasn't dying trying to get my breathing in check. We aren't sure about the exact distance we ran because we tried to go back over it and clock it in our car but we ended up getting lost again - roughly though it was around 2.5 miles or a little more (maybe). I'm sore today so that's all that matters and I feel good. Yay, for not being sucky at life and getting some exercise in on the road.
More to come soon - I've still got more catching up to do...
